cukur if they help, but its not their job scope just as stewardess are not obliged to stow luggage in the overhead compartment.. if you are able to carry your own luggage down to the waiting area, why can't you stow it in the boot?

If the driver helps to carry your luggage, its courtersy. If they don't, theres nothing wrong with that. Just like when you board a commuter bus, you dont expect the bus driver to help carry your luggage.

Nevertheless, if the passenger is sick or ill leaving the hospital, does it not make better sense for him or her to have a relative or friend helping him out instead of expecting charity from strangers?

their job scope is to send you from your pickup location to destination location safely with agreed fare. Not your personal assistant or kuli.

If they help, it called courtesy, they not obliged. And, remember to thank them, or if feel generous, tip them.

I don't own a car here. I am been reliant on taxis, Grab, MyCar and SoCar the last 2 months.

Many ride-sharing drivers are indeed quite reckless on the road. However, I have not experienced any that did not help me with my luggage other than 3 female drivers that picked us which I did not expect them to anyway.

ts bodo. i do grab part time as well and the rare exception that ill help carry stuff in are with seriously injured people, old peoples, and people who politely say please and ask for help.

1st -- even flight attendants in airplanes are NOT to help lift your luggages into overhead storage, for HSE reasons. the same reasons are also applicable to taxi and ride-sharing drivers. they can help out of courtesy (amoi cun?) or necessity (old and/or OBVIOUSLY infirm passengers), but ultimately you back-breaking and precious luggages are your responsibility.

2nd -- what's the criteria for the driver to read your condition and automatically know you are incapable of lifting your luggages? you MANAGED TO REACH at the pick-up point while carrying the luggages in the first place.....

3rd -- patient != patience. I'm not sure how is it that you are able to determine the patience level of the driver just by him not helping to lift your luggages into the vehicle.

Grab car is about providing a chauffeur service point A to Point B safely according to the agree price.

Gard driver is not your personal driver or kuli... in fact Grab driver's attitude is so much better compared to some of those taxi driver's.

you pay rm7 and expect a world class treatment? why not pay AirAsia price and expect MAS/SIA/Etihad Business class service

Ask your daddy to provide you with a maid and personal driver even if you can only afford a Axia!!!!!! ans stop being a crybaby for such a peanut issue.. grow up and start using your numbnut's brain to think ... there's more critical issue's happening every second in the world than your stupid 'grad driver to help take my luggage'

Seems people want extra service for free all the time.

If a person expects Grab driver to carry their luggage, help the elderly ... it is extra work ... then pay a tip.

Expecting such service for free is really being stingy too, because the time spent loading the vehicle is also time that they are NOT spending finding for other passengers and rides.

Plus Grab fee is fixed even when it rains, which is why not many drivers like to pick passengers then.

Demanding all the service, without any consideration to the drivers, is another reason why I feel passengers have to realise the drivers are also trying to earn an honest living.

The incentives have dropped tremendously since Grab has become the dominant e-hailing service.

Never had this problem with Uber Dubai. They always pick up the heavy luggage bags for me. Feel like a boss. Of course later I give some tips too.
