every bikes has it quirks....its just KTM has a lot of them... sweat.gif
1. leaking front forks
2. Burnt coil
3. broken water pump seal
4. water get into meter cluster
just to name a few... and coz the part is hard to find and expensive to boot...the bike itself became a thief magnet for spare parts....

i never done any valve clearance to my duke 250. Now 40k mileage. Never really worry about security unless you park at unsafe area.

my brother own 2014 ktm duke 200.

lists he had done for the bike:
1. o2 sensor/lambda sensor kaput
2. electronic haywire... dunnue whats wrong but it was sorted out by the workshop
3. LCD meter went kaput. bought a new one
4. leaking forks
5. change the foot gear 2 times now. the shaft connected to the transmission somehow went limb and it was hard to change gears

after spending quite sum of money, it still ride and he still use it to go to work. i wont say its a bad thing but sometimes shit happens and u end up spending alot. surprisingly the engine still running good and pretty much decent.
all those i mention off was in the range of the time he got his bike (brand new one) till now.

worth it or not its up to u lah to weigh down the pro and cons
