Just in case you guys dont know, almost all uni in Malaysia, including private unis, report a big drop in the number of students doing science, engineering and technology courses.

For some reasons, students nowadays donwan to do these courses anymore. Why not, being a youtuber can easily get some money.

Music is not Art? Or Art is now for those Business subjects like Accounting, Economics, etc.? (then why don't call it Business? So confusing).

What's Reading? Don't tell me at Form 4 there's student still trying to learn Reading? WTF!

And whats the difference between Science and Technology?

Fuckin hell can I know how much thought was actually put by Maszlee and his people into this?!
*
"reading law", so perhaps law, social science, international relations, etc.
technology more towards engineering while science is natural sciences (those 4 subjects)
+3kk!

This is easier said than done. Not necessarily bad since US system uses this system where they choose the subjects.

It is VEry IMPORTANT howare they going to implement this system and how our 50-60 years STREAM can adapt to this change. Also how Universities will rank our "SPM" now.

This sounds like we're adopting US style education? Students go to classes they choose, while they'll share some common classes. It'll take time for people to adapt, but it sounds like a better way to go.

but the problem is facility. students move around like college/uni students, depending where their classes will be held. at school how? end up doing streaming. those who take sciences, end up in one class, those who take technology under 1 class, etc.

It's a scaling up for how some students take Islamic Studies and those taking Moral studies. Possible, but infra is needed to support multiple smaller classes. Most new schools nowadays are moving to interconnected buildings with central court, so movement should be much smoother. Students will also need locker ala American schools so that they don't have to lug around textbooks to all their classes.

Honestly, these first few years will be tough. Facilities will be the least of the problems. Can imagine the complaints ranging from parents complaining their smart kid are in the same class as slow students to not enough students for unpopular classess.

Tapi bila benda yg announce pun bunyi macam tak pikir panjang kena la bagi pendapat. You think so far they have been doing good job? There is no trust in our current ministers competency anymore right now. Btw, as TS said, this was announced before la.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good idea in general but then it's not exactly something very cutting edge with other countries already using it. Like following Finland's education system or Japan's before, all just announce with no actual details or plans. Already 1.5 years. Only 3.5 years left. Want to wait until when?
*
What cutting edge you want? Step by step la. Relekz, dont pancut so awal, 1.5 years is nothing if u want to implement something in a country with so many different type of schools and so many different races and background. A jawi crap also can stir till like no turn back better take thing slowly but toward to correct direction la.

Adoi comprehend la. I'm not asking for cutting edge solution. I said this is not something new pun since other countries done already. They have already announced this before, now announced again, but the thing announced like not given much thought pun. As I said, if you are happy with the mediocre work done by our ministers now then good for you la. Tunggu la another 2, 3 years for them to implement. As things go now don't think they have much time pun.
