Hi,

I will have either one of the method (Paypal or Maybank) to convert my money receive from USD to MYR.

For Maybank, the receipiant will send the USD to my debit card which Maybank will convert it directly to MYR in my saving account.

Which one will enable me to save more money in MYR?

Thank you.

Ask them do they accept US bank account (US based)?
If yes you are clear to go for transferwise. They have a virtual US bank account which you can received USD. I have used it before and it works.

If no then you are out of luck.

Use Maybank then. Paypal's rate is worse.

Thank you for your reply.

I will go ahead.

I have some fund in USD and Sing dollar in Paypal. I know it will go through Paypal exchange rate then convert to MYR. Is there any method to transfer to Malaysian bank with the least cost?

Thank you.

Not sure if you can link TransferWise's US bank account to PayPal.
If this works, you can withdrawal the money to TW and convert it to MYR.

if it's already in PayPal then it's too late lol. You can play around with the withdrawal and check the rates yourself.
