My father is using catheter inserted through the urethra.
The latex tube is changed every 2 weeks at the clinic
He used to use size 16, but has now changed to size 20
He complains that he needs to use adult diapers as there is leakage from the urethra, usually entering 2nd week of tube usage.

He used to have supra pubic cathether (SPC) but he had his tube dislodged out and the hole closed off in a few hours.
There was some leakage too from the urethra occasionally, but the doctor said that usually happens when not all urine is removed from the bladder thru the SPC which is higher than the penis, so gravity took care of the problem.

Do you know anyone who has the same problem? I've always thought that once one has catheter tube inside, no leakage would ever occur as all liquid is channelled to the urine bag.
Does he need to use size 22 now?
