bro & sis

newbie question here..

whats the difference between buying the units using agent's online portal (Maybank2u, RHB Online Banking, etc) compare with ASNB own website/app?

is it not 'live' or 'real-time' enough if through agent?

It is free when bought through ASNB right? If you buy from agents like M2U they charge you RM1 if I am not mistaken.

MyASNB portal is also quite "live", they even have a timer counter for you to complete the transaction I do not see any reason why you should buy it anywhere but at their own portal

thank u for the prompt reply

exactly that it should be transacted at its own portal

Divested to Sg reits a few years ago. Dividend ranging from 4% to 6% on top of price appreciation.

No residency status. It was open a few years ago when account opening not so strict for foreigners. It could be stricter now.

I think even dividend from klse also got charges. But don’t know how much. Sg and MY both I also use direct acc.

That’s why 5sgd for big amount is like nothing. Me ikanbilis 5sgd already 5-10 percent of the dividend payout.
*
if u're having direct acc (especially direct MY acc and hold klse stocks), there should not be any processing fee charged for receive of dividend.. the fee is only applicable if u're using nominee acc

if u got charged under a direct acc, suggest to double check with ur bank or dealer

No charges for me. I was just trying to say if small fish like me go use nominee acc very bohua
*
alright thats great..

true that its not worth it when the amount is low.. but since u got both local and foreign direct acc, thats good and all the best in it

I'm not a hardworking buyer in here, but I do get 1k unit per transaction sometimes.

By continuous entering captcha for 1 hour and hoping somebody is selling off successfully right after I entered my captcha.

i came across users mentioned captcha but i never seem to encounter it during my subscription? quite curious why is there a captcha involve?

i was just trying to buy on myASNB portal (not their mobile app) and got a bit on my first few tries

Just now ASN office called me to say that I havent done the pewarisan and askd me to do so.

To do so, need fill up form and all IC docs plus RM180 fee.

Ini betul ah?
*
if its the norm, everybody will receive the call (or announcement on their main website at least)

probably a scam for ur isolated case?

all sifu..

do we gain more by making consistent monthly deposit or lump sum over a period of 20 yrs?

eg. monthly deposit for 20 years vs lump sum now and hold there for 20 years

i understand all these are assuming im able to get those units

I m no sifu but if the total value of lump sum and the total amount of monthly deposit excluding dividend r the same, then should be lump sum cuz u get more dividend earlier. Sifus correct me if i m wrong
*
i understand what u mean.. thanks for the feedback

QUOTE(poor fella @ Mar 10 2020, 09:53 AM)
in my humble opinion as a poor fella, its better to just buy in whenever your money is available and the units are too.

lump sum method requires all the units you want to buy to be available all at once and that is something beyond our control.

i guess my response does not directly answer your question... hope it is helpful in other ways

yea it does helps.. thanks for the advice
