Need some guidance on Account Remaja transitioning to Adult Account.

My son is turning 18 (finally!) in 2 weeks and I am wondering what process needs to be done to transfer his Account Remaja for his own management?

Does he need to download the MyAsnb App and register using his IC no and all his details / savings would already be recognised / recorded from the previous Remaja account to his new Adult account? Or we need to visit the ASNB branch?

Hi,

I did it twice at CIMB Mid Valley, once from parent to child and the other time between siblings. There was an officer (Hafizah) assigned to handle ANSB.

Just have to make sure that the officer understands exactly that it is a transfer between 2 accounts. No service charges as well.

When I did mine, both account holders were there.

The entire process in the Bank was quite fast about 15 mins (excluding queue time). The transferred amount was also reflected within 30 mins, if I recalled correctly. But was given the proof of transfer slip, so nothing to worry about.

Received from the CRM:

"To All BMs + RMs,

ASM 1 will be open tentatively on 7 Jul 25 with Total amount RM1.18 Billion. Let Plan & Reach out to Customer."

Can also make appointment for lump sum deposit via cheque as well.
