Hi guys, wta can you do any money transaction through the asb website? Bcs my grandfather created a account on his computer which I suspect have tons of malware, spyware and viruses. A bit worried he might lose his life savings.

Hi guys all this time i thought asb is one of the safest places to put your money, but i just read page 135 and asb dont have PIDM protection.
So wta your opinion for people like me who dump all my money into asb is it a safe move, bcs with the current situation can see gov is spending more money then receiving money???If asb collapses i will have to live on the streets.

theoretically yes. that's y not advisable to have all ur money in one basket. esp if u have to live on the streets if all the money gone.
*
lol that is not the reassurance i needed, was hoping for a asb sifu to tell me my money is safe bcs what else should i do? draw out half my money and just put it in my saving account which have PIDM protection?

Dividend is calculated on a monthly rest. If your fund is inside for 6 months then, you will get 6 months dividend
*
If let's say you have 200k inside and draw out rm1k, will the rm199k be effected by this resting period?

QUOTE(Created On 21/1/2021 @ Nov 30 2021, 11:51 AM)
About 2 years ago I withdrew 30k and deposited into my Maybank, the next day Maybank called and ask what's the fund for and ask for my employment status. That's it.
*
Thanks for sharing, what did you tell them?
Is telling them you using the money to buy car or laptop considered red flag answers? A bit weird you have to tell them what you going to do with the money you saved?

Out of the 3 billion investment PNB made in Sapura back in 2019, PNB lost 2.4 billion on paper.

Somebody please tell me this is wrong???

This is correct. PNB's investment in Sapura and Velesto has long been questioned by the more informed observers in the market many years back.

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/cove...rgy-and-velesto

Google "PNB Sapura" and you can find strings of news, comments, criticism, articles etc. on PNB's choice to hold a stake in the 2 O&G companies.

2.4b is a huge loss, can recover or not???

All 3 have stakes in Sapura, but they are not directly comparable since the ARs don't show the fund holdings at the same time.

*
They invest in sapura only using asn fund or both asn and asb?

Also anyone know what date they will announce the interest for 2022?

its 4.25 + 0.75

the 0.75 not so clear yet, some say limited to 30k units only...

so what u have is actually 4.25% saja

Guys anyone draw out money from asb online recently?
Did they reduce the maximum you can withdraw a month back to rm500? It used to be rm1k.

Still rm1k per calendar month

So if I key in rm1k instead of choosing from the 3 option box below will go through?
Or need to choose rm500 today than tomorrow another rm500?

Can key in rm1k

Thanks bro, I key in rm1k, look like everything went through so far.
Did you draw out rm1k during this January 2022?
Asking bcs I don't know why someone reply me in asb fb page saying that they change it to max limit per day is rm500, from where he got his sos??
Worst I saw a youtube video saying the max withdrawal limit is only rm500 a month. So many people saying different things...
