As ASM1 dividend has been decreasing over the years, is it still wise to buy the funds? I am thinking of investing for long term but if ASM3 funds are too difficult to purchase over the next few weeks after this dividend is declared, should I consider purchasing ASM1 anyway? Something is better than nothing, does it apply to this case?

I understand. I did find a willing seller who is looking to unload their ASM1 soon. Just wondering if should reserve the bullets for ASM 3 instead.

There will be a new bundle available soon ASM + ASN Imbang 3 Global. I am not keen on the VP but am thinking of investing anyway for the FP. Not sure if this is risky move or not considering the global investment is not stable now

Apparently it will be made available on 7th Oct. 35% FP % 65% VP. Bank charges are 4% on VP, 0% on FP

It's ASM1. Not sure if available in all banks or selected ones. I received this info from sotong. Also not sure on the management fee part. I think they will charge it the moment sale goes through.


I am thinking of doing that too. It's tempting to hold though because financial year is 31 Dec. Thought of waiting it out to see what the first time dividend/performance will be.


Based on what I read on ASNB web, no issue with selling it. Again, have to enquire more from bank that is offering the bundle but shouldn't be an issue. Maybe you can ask and share the info here?

I am new to this but I concur. Don't understand what the uproar about 4 % dividend this year. Why look at past year trends when other factors like the economy recession and aftermath of covid plays such a huge role this year?

Yes, there is a new bundle available from 7th October 2020 onwards. I received this news from sotong but don't know anything more about the details aside that it will a bundle of 35% FP + 65% VP and VP sales will be charged 4% by the bank. Min bundle investment is 30k. Not sure if can negotiate the rates or not.

The downside is cannot withdraw EPF so easily anytime compared to ASNB which is selling a certain amount or all of it (depends on how much you want to convert to cash)

Not sure if this is true because I haven't tried but you can sell a limited number of amount through the ASNB app. Up to RM500 if I am not mistaken?
