saw this in the myASNB website when i tried the withdrawal function:
Jumlah Maksimum – 2000 unit jumlah terkumpul bagi semua unit amanah sebulan
does it means that we can only withdraw max 2000 units per month through the portal? besides this portal, any other possibilities to withdraw more if needed?
thanks

QUOTE(Wolves @ Mar 16 2023, 11:55 AM) I don't agree. I think should have 4%. They have more time for the interest rate hike to roll the effect. Past one week only went down. So technically wouldn't affect the earnings yet. So 4 to 4.2% still doable. Asm2 and asm3 however no chance unless market bounce which i don't believe. I believe a recession should happen very soon and market will drop a lot this time. just for info and understanding, what's the reason that ASM can be higher than ASM2/3? is it due to they invest in different market or instruments? and also in that case, is it better to move the funds from ASM2/3 to ASM? i see on the web portal that there's a function to switch fund, not sure of there's any charge for this? thanks This post has been edited by lowyat101: Mar 16 2023, 01:55 PM

Morning, would like to ask, from the ASB portal, I see that there's this "Penukaran" function where it looks like I can transfer the fund from 1 account to another. Would like to know, if there's any charges for using this transaction? Also say I want to transfer from ASM3 to ASM but there's no available units in ASM at that moment, will the transaction be cancelled automatically? Or will it be parked under pending until there are units available in ASM? Thanks in advance

QUOTE(lucifah @ Mar 26 2023, 11:28 PM) it will just say units unavailable and u cant proceed to switch. that's all noted with thanks. btw would like to know, for ASM funds, is the dividend calculated by daily or monthly ya? wanna see what is the right time to sell back. if monthly does it means best time to do it is on the 1st of the month? thanks

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(nexona88 @ Mar 27 2023, 06:18 PM) The dividend is calculated for ASMx funds is based on the average minimum monthly balance held throughout the financial year of the fund QUOTE(Wolves @ Mar 27 2023, 06:51 PM) Lowest of the month. For example 1st january 2022 you have 5k, then 5th january 2022 you buy extra 5k so total 10k. Then 20th january 2022 you sell 3k so total 7k. So for january 2022, the lowest value is 5k. It is counted "monthly" at the lowest value for that month. So the best time to buy/sell is 1st of each month as what lucifah said, there is a grace period for the 1st of each month. If you sell 1st of the months, previous month not affected by the drop. If you buy 1st of the month, the amount is considered into that month if you no sell. noted with thanks. nice to know about the grace period on the 1st of the month This post has been edited by lowyat101: Mar 28 2023, 09:15 AM

QUOTE(MattSally @ May 1 2023, 09:14 AM) That is frustrating. I was hoping to switch as many units as I could from ASM3 to ASM1. Now I will just have to buy units in ASM1 and then withdraw units in ASM3. It makes no sense. At least I was able to switch units from ASM3 to top up ASB1 and ASB2. is this becoz ASM1 historically has higher dividends that ASM3?

just waana seek some opinions, i think it's worth to withdraw from KDI and buy ASM right? if withdraw now i think tonight can get the cash, provided the ASM units are still available.
if the ASM is sold out by then, i can still put back to KDI and will loose only 1 day interest right?
thanks

Don't think would finished anytime soon.. not today... Tomorrow probably 🤔 thanks, ya i think it should be better than KDI in term of the %. but would like to check about the ASM withdrawal, if want to withdraw more than 2k online limit, need to go the the bank right? say i go to maybank to sell back ASM, i just need to tell the counter then the amount will be credited to my bank account on the spot right? also is the ASM dividend calculated on monthly basis? since i see in the thread, there was discussion about the dividend on the 1st of the month. thanks

If everything can just do online, there may be risk of money disappearing overnight from your accounts due to hacker or people who have access to your TAC number ok noted with thanks

QUOTE(nxtpg @ May 2 2023, 09:12 AM) for asm, already done the PENGISYTIHARAN amanah. the funds will be channeled to the nominee account and nominee can still enjoy the dividents.... i feel this will be good for kids future too do you mean we need to do this as the "nomination"? only now realise that I haven't done any nomination for ASM. as your 2nd reply above, meaning we need to visit the ASB branch to get this done right? and does the nominee needs to have an ASM account too? thanks

QUOTE(MGM @ May 2 2023, 11:19 AM) thanks for the info. about the comment of "units instead of cash", say if we are to go with the cash route, what are the procedures needed for the nomination? is it the same that we need to visit the branch and tell them that we want to do a nomination instead of the "PENGISYTIHARAN amanah"? edit: found this website: https://www.asnb.com.my/pengisytiharanamanah.phpdoes it means that the "Pengisytiharan Amanah" is the only way for nomination with ASNB? instead of the normal will. and i see there are some fees to be charged under the "yuran" page. just wondering, if they have any easier option like epf nomination? thanks This post has been edited by lowyat101: May 2 2023, 11:27 AM

And upon the balance too... See the chart u posted... Each tier got percentage fee charged... When the person dies.. Next of kin written in the ASNB system would get the $$$ in ASMx units.... No ASMx account? No issues. They would somehow open for the next of kin.... Those didn't take up the service gets Cash instead That's the difference thanks for the info. about the "cash" option, is it another option by ASNB? or it will follow the "wasiat" option like in their chart?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ May 2 2023, 12:32 PM) There's no such thing as cash option... Because one main reason for sign up the product for it's units payment... If want cash.. Then don't need to sign up the product... Or write private wills (which also includes others assets in hand like property, shares, cash in banks, FD etc.) ok noted with thanks

Between this ASM3 and KDI, I guess ASM3 will be a better option ya?
Thanks

Hi,
Wanna confirm, based on a quick Google search, the dividend of ASM1/2/3 is calculated based on monthly balance right? So if I would to withdraw and deposit to EPF, I don't need to wait till the last few days of the month ya?
Thanks

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(MattSally @ Mar 18 2024, 02:14 PM) As Nexona says, interest is calculated on the lowest daily balance in any month, apart from any funds added on the first of the month will count towards calculation of dividend for that month. So, add or withdraw funds on the first of the month to avoid loss of interest. Think of EPF as your pension fund and FP ASMx funds (even though they are FP unit trust funds) as high interest deposit bank accounts. I see, meaning if I withdraw the ASM FP fund on the 1st of the month, and deposit to EPF on the same day itself, I will get the ASM dividend for the previous month and EPF dividend for the current month right? Also say if I would to deposit to EPF via M2U on the 1st of the month, will the EPF system shows that the deposit is on the 1st? or it will show as a few days after that? Thanks

Unless you're 55yo or have 1mil balance above... Simply cannot withdraw unless you fulfill some of the withdrawal condition set @ allowed types of withdrawal 🙏 Yes noted with thanks. Planning to just move some small amount to EPF as a "forced" saving
