Open ASMX funds for kids, now they are above 21 yo, and not eager to sell despite low dividendes. "This $ dad n mom gifted, something we as children should cherish."

So, the lost opportunity $, should only consider what auntie n myself holding = $22k/year, ...by Apr, if banks FD go up, i can still catch the uplift in %. While other experts say Fed likely QE by mid year. (Auntie says family just cut down one visit /month to Nero Nero, Sarkies or Rasa buffet)

EPF oso affected by SD, but will still payout, same with rest of Funds....its just a Govt approved ponzi. Dont over thinnk, imo, the ASMX dividends will return...Govt will use this opportunity as circus n bread to appease the citizens. Feel good factor.

After reading all the threads, my takeaway, within each person's capacity .....max EPF, max FD, max ASMX, max SSPN, max overseas funds to avoid Malaysia hyperinflation, max properties, drive best cars, wear only AP, PP, Rolex, buy physical gold, live FI/RE, spartan workout n most important max peace of mind. If you r in this thread, already (thank god, tua pek kong, etc) over many others in AKPK, McOcean, etc

ASMX, If need to sell, then sell...if dont need to sell, then hold or accumulate more...or gift to loved ones!

Wishing all a safe n huat CNY!

should cherish the money gifted by parents??
Seriously...

Don't know if trolling or serious...

No such thing in Gen Y & Z...

Enjoy first...
Saving later think...

ASMx for long term?
Nah,... YOLO 😎

It all depends on upbringing n family imparted values.

Hence, we read cases...some family escape from poverty cycles n become successful while others fall deeper. While even special cases become even greater than last generation.

It's obvious from thread, some younger (y, z) forumers have performed exceptionally well in biz n financials. So bravo!

Out of topic. Hahaha

QUOTE(kart @ Jan 13 2023, 07:32 PM)
I wanted to keep the receipt for my own record.
When I performed ASM withdrawal in Maybank, Maybank refused to give me a copy of the receipt.
'Normal Redemption' is stated in ASM statement, which is downloaded in myASNB website.
'Cash Deposit' is stated in Maybank savings account statement.
So, if I do not have the receipt, I have no official document to show the linkage between the ASM withdrawal and the fund credited to Maybank savings account.
*
Bro Kart, my 2 sen.
1. M2U account can link to ASNB. So all transactions (deposit n withdrawals) from ASNB via Maybank, has an audit trail.
2. If recall correctly, for OTC transactions, still need the red or blue forms n thumb print. Has Maybank progressed to paperless?
3. No need to worry LHDN. All are MY funds, not subjected to taxes n no need to declare as MY earned income.
4. Every big bank is KYC n AMLA compliant. The Govt is already tracking us every transaction via ewallet, money transfer, jom pay, etc.
5. Side topic. Thermal printing of receipts, ink oso fade over time. Better to create digital library.

Bro BBDora,
The verdict is still not known...maybe, you'll be the first decamillionaire in crypto. Stay positive.

Ive continue to stack utility coins, $500k ...using dividends from ASNB, etc. Hence, I never mention. Kalah pun sendiri tanggung, my own earned money n choice.

I apologize, out of topic.

Some of us (me included), continues to be trapped in this dynamic cognitive process...Liebniz vs Spengler.

We cannot allow the pursuit for that extra 1% dividend to create stress n mood change...remember, when much youngers...most of us baby boomers slept on the bare floor n empty stomach. It made us stronger.

Side topuc, im on 18hrs intermittent fasting...last meal at 2pm, until breakfast the next day. Keeps mind alert, tummy non-bloated n cut food expenses.

I think no more units as well.
I will continue trying next few days so let's see when i can get it again.
And this is why i trying these few days. 😂 I estimate today or tomorrow they will sell more units coz it takes time to withdraw into bank account. And i am sure ppl who done this years upon years will know how crowded the banks or asnb are nearing CNY and they want to buy groceries and stuff for CNY before CNY. So if Friday is the last day of the Chinese calendar, they might want to see the money in the bank on Thursday. So today and tomorrow should be plentiful. "Should be".

Mr. Wolves,

Greetings, as i explained in other thread. Unker promised Auntie, Y2023 to be year of learning and/or re-learning. So to keep an open mind, ask n learn where applicable.

Im genuinely curious, why Mr. Wolves buying asnb when some long term members are selling n when FD returns seem higher?

What motivates your actions and dedication? Thank you.

First of all i just wanted to get some coz i been wanting them for a very long time but unable to do so. Second, it is safe and simple. It is easier than going to bank and open account just for a short term (12 to 18 months) FD. FD i can easily do later if no other options but asm1 is like wwe. Other methods like reits or oversea requires monitoring and skill and knowledge plus issues of inheritance. Asm you just put in and forget and get dividen yearly and you can withdraw 2k per month easily using apps. If need more just go to branch or banks. Simplicity and convenience. It is also liquid as i don't have to wait for maturity (FD) or wait for a good market cycle to exit. So safe, easy and convenience.

I also in the opinion that currently short term they might lose it by a few % but in the long term it should do better. Asm has FD and assets. It's like a diversification all in one. During economic downturn like now, they are dependant on FD. But during economic upturn the assets will give better return. So it is not bad to accumulate now and wait for the economy to return. Worse case i can just liquidate later at 0 losses (only wasting time). That is why i am buying now when i "can" as i mentioned previously. It is very hard to buy. 😂

Mr Wolves, thank you. One lastcquestion...respectfully asking, are you in the 30s or 40s age group?
Unker impessed with your very methodical thinking process n easily understood explanation of investment approach. (emotion free)

To the hard cores...

1. Kepercayaan kepada PNB
2. Kesetiaan kepada ASNB
3. Keluhuran ASMX
4. Kedaulatan ASM1
5. Kesopanan Dan Kesusilaan Lowyat ASNB Thread

My faith in ASNB reminds me not to get too excited about the successes and too low about the missteps.

There's nothing more calming than knowing some big whales are cheering you on in pursuit of accumulating ASM funds.

we can withdraw any amount right from branch into our savings a/c, how long it takes for the fund to appear in our a/c?
I was thinking of withdrawing from ASM2 and try to deposit into ASM1

Good morning Bro Gedebe,

Can withdraw from member banks, Unker think no limit kut?

Unker respectfully ask you to deliberate on strategy of redeeming ASM2, to cash position, then hoping to buy ASM1.

Bird in hand is worth two in the bush?

Nevertheless, Unker wish you good luck n success on your journey...(Unker learn new things, IN your journey vs ON your journey)

Between ASM 1 2 3, which one is the best to keep among those three? I know their returns are more or less the same, but is there like maybe one is better than the other?
*
Imho, Unker like ASM due to the allocation on Bursa stocks. Unker live Tiger Bank. But now dunno if allocation split....ASM Unker 57% split.

ASM, is the middle dividend.

.... You live tiger bank? Why you keep so many live tiger until can be a bank. Walao unker.. too much live tiger show not good for your health. 😂

The asm you say is asm1. Now we just call asm1, asm2 and asm3 easier. You also like tiger bank ah.. i also thinking to buy more of its shares. Headache coz money too little to split here and there. But i got until end of year before i need to decide to buy more tiger bank shares or straight go SG put there. Dunno should i trust Malaysia economy bor. My friend been complaining he losing a lot of money converting myr to thb coz myr exchange rate really teruk these few months. Losing money just convert. He living in Thailand now. So i think maybe i should just go sg coz sgd very stable and economy very good. Need to make decision 4th quarter this year sad.gif

Aiseh, Unker meant to say ASM1 is in middle. This photo from mrleaf asnb blogger.

Unker same boat, ...prepare $ but no pull trigger on OCBC. Price very strong le.

Unker say, if short term follow Bro TOS thread on SG Saving Bonds n T Bills. 4.20% 6 months bills.
