QUOTE(starry-starry @ Aug 24 2021, 03:40 PM) Seriously? Before that only money reloaded via online banking can invest into ASNB using Boost... I hv already topped up some amount using my banking account. If I had known this earlier, I wouldn't have done that since I can earn cashback by reloading it using CC. U can try la..But if stuck inside then gg |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Nov 30 2021, 09:15 AM) Since you can deposit into Amanah saham anytime you want, and withdraw anytime you want, the dividen announcement date is usually at the end of the year. How many months/smallest time frame before that date is counted for that year's dividend? Not necessarily end of the month. ASM1 is April 2021. Depends on how many months the funds is sitting inside |

QUOTE(mystvearn @ Nov 30 2021, 10:27 AM) Meaning to get this kind of returns (below), funds need to be in the account by April of each calendar year? So whatever deposited after doesn't count towards dividend? Dividend is calculated on a monthly rest. If your fund is inside for 6 months then, you will get 6 months dividendSecond question, there is no problem withdrawing large amount (5 digits or more0 of ASB into bank account right? Or got problem with BNM? |

QUOTE(melondance @ Mar 30 2022, 02:04 PM) If its easy to invest like other platforms, sure... But many dont have the time to fish hardcore. I would have withdrawn my liquid funds from MMF to ASNB if that were the case... Yes, one thing to take note is the availability of unit. Once sold, need to start finishing again. |

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Mar 30 2022, 11:32 PM) Really disappointed stagnent vs worst time but what to do No choice unless willing to give up liquidity or take up more risk Anyway, benchmarking against FD is really not a reflective KPI QUOTE(TOS @ Mar 30 2022, 11:34 PM) Good observation! But ASM will never go negative, which makes it as good as FD? |

QUOTE(TOS @ Mar 30 2022, 11:59 PM) Never? No one has ever observed the true NAV (except the fund managers). The fixed RM 1 NAV number is an illusion on paper. Stocks and bonds price change whenever markets are open. That is why ASM is known as God fund la. Think about it, during March 2020 with stocks going down and bonds sold off, how can the NAV remain at 1 MYR around that period? If every unit holders were to withdraw money around that period, ASNB would not be able to pay out all your capital in full. Your RM 1 becomes RM 0.8 or RM 0.9 for example. Most likely they will look for help from PNB's "upper-level" proprietary fund to top-up. The key message is the true NAV fluctuates behind. (Also, your FD is insured. ASNB funds are not.) Stocks and bonds != FD. Still, back to the question has ASM ever given negative return? If no, then it is as good as bank FDs with higher return. |

QUOTE(TOS @ Mar 31 2022, 12:19 AM) Illustration on paper makes you think it's God. Well the same goes to EPF, ASB and other ASNB fixed price funds. Anyway, the best advice I can give you is to scrutinize its holdings often. Don't hesitate to email asnbcare to request for the full list of the investment portfolio. You can sometimes learn from their portfolio allocations for your own good. It's totally disconnected with the real market, and it is politically motivated. Why study the holdings when you know ASB will always be higher than ASM? |

QUOTE(popice2u @ Apr 5 2022, 06:20 PM) As long as it is higher than FD and normal MMF rates, people will still hold on to it. People complain but deep down they can't find replacement currently LoTek liked this post
