to address the TRANSFER / SELL / COMMISSION / DIVIDEND / FEE or whatever issues, let me share

last time before probably u guys even know about ASNB, and before myASNB existed, there were similar things like this.

people "sell" the units, but in a more analogue way

if u remember 10 - 12 yrs ago, long queues at banks during launching / issuance of new units?

mostly are aunties, and they queue very early int he morning

some also continue after the launch, by sitting in banks from 9am to 4pm, buying units

in their hands, they have a stack of ASMx passbooks. those colorful yellow, gold and one omre color i cant recall, and in their fat purses are wads of cash

unknown to many people, they actually buy on behalf of others, they get there number trying their luck (usually 3 times), before they can get another number and queue back

some buy for their family members, some buy for others. you can see almost the same face "camping" for few days

after a while, u will notice that they are buying for others in return for some token (or fee). u will see the passbooks doesnt even belong to their family members.

ASNB realized this and in around 2015 (IIRC), they barred people from buying / updating 3rd party pass books

then around 2016 or 17 (IIRC), they removed the passbook, and eventually introduced myASNB as we know today

fast forward to 2019, the captcha script evolved and became so efficient that some forummers grabbed like RM 10 - 20k per day.

then myASNB removed captcha and change to something new

so lesson learnt here? everyone has their own ways to find loopholes.

ASNB will always evolve to resolve these loopholes

so, did the aunties were punished? charged at court? no. because they didnt break any existing malaysian law.
