Went to this merchant in PJ for lunch, pay by debit card. Ask me enter pin and i saw the word approved. But thats error with the machine which is ran out of paper, then the cashier ask me to key in my PIN again, without hesitating i go and do so. After that i ask why u charge me twice as this is the second time i key in the PIN and second time i saw the word approved. So i checked my m2u transaction history, i saw im being charged twice! Show him then he try to find the transaction in his POS, whereby it only states once. He told me right now the extra charges is held by third party and will refund to me after 12am. Till now is already 10am plus, still not yet refund to me. Do i need to contact the bank?

You can call the bank after your Bank has issue you the monthly statement. Else, they can't do anything as of now.

Yesterday, unknown people bank in money into your account.

Today, merchant charged you twice.

So contra liao.

About 2 months ago, i had almost met the same situation. Was at Sushi King. After keying my cc pin, the cable got disconnected when the cashier took the machine back from me. So she insisted to swipe the card again which I declined. After speaking to her hq people, I was ask to provide my contact add & tel if the transaction did not go through and to rtn to the shop to pay which i agreed.

I was so stupid, should have follow your method... anyway i already contact maybank and they ask me to fill up the dispute form and wait for them to do the rest

I went back to pay cash 2 days later.

Foolish people with their flashy credit cards = gotta go back and pay twice. ....... lol.
