Not worth it to sell. Haha.

Might as well use it for spare. 2015 15” is quite capable machine also that can last for many years to come.
*
Yes 2015 15" is a capable machine.
Not upgrading yet since this is the first generation of a new keyboard.

mine to share how you check the pricing, I manage to go in the site, but it won't show anything after I clicked the continue with all question answer

I went to Apple Singapore site, enter the serial number and got the offer.
But I must say the offer from Apple Singapore (Which redirects you to Brightstar site) is ridiculously low.

If I trade in the same device in Apple US can get $750.

"Apple Launches Extended Holiday Return Policy, Return Deadline Set for January 8, 2020"

Not sure if you guys have the offer above in Malaysia but here in the US, I can buy a unit to try out and return it a month later if I am not happy with the product. Decided to settle on the 8-core base unit without upgrades. And test it out "kaw-kaw" for a month.
Cheers!

In Malaysia don't have.
No returns.
Exchange if product DOA or defective within 14 days.

Finally decided. Returned the 16gb and ordered the 32gb. Waiting for delivery.

Which country is this?
Surprised that you can return after using it for a while. If in Malaysia, this will not be possible.

Thank you. Prices should be around the same after refund. Latest prices in Malaysian store is quite competitive. Only about RM1k cheaper in Canada/US after credit card conversion and taxes.
*
Yes, the price in Malaysia is competitive.

There are also deals for brand new 12,199 machine for just RM 10,000 sealed set. Just need to look at Mudah or Facebook marketplace. brows.gif

Aiyoh, I dare not buy those lah. Especially for such an expensive machine. Upgraded the RAM and need the receipt for tax purposes. Did you have good experience buying from those 3rd parties?
*
Yes, no issue as long as it's a sealed set. Unwrap on the spot, open the device make sure the serial number is valid with Apple.

The only thing is you need to replace the adapter as those are US units.
Warranty wise no issue can walk in an apple store.

But as you said, if you want peace of mind then buy from Apple store is the best. smile.gif

I use Final Cut pro for editing videos about 5-10gb. Usually que the multiple videos when exporting and rendering and leave the computer alone. Dont see much difference in the 16gb vs 32gb. Still takes a long time. Not expert about how RAM is used though. Maybe not applicable in this situation.
*
When exporting you should be able to see memory pressure under activity monitor. Then from there can know if 16GB or 32GB is enough.
For me, my memory utilisation is around 8GB - 10GB, so 16GB is good enough for my needs.

If this one US set 10k, worth?

user posted image[/url]

The only issue with US set is the adapter it comes with. You need to replace it with 3 pin UK plug.
Other than that everything is same as if you're buying a unit here. You still eligible for warranty, although you need to provide an authorized retailer receipt.

Lazada got 9.6k seller with 0% 12 months Maybank installment.
That guy increase price already to 9.8k.

Hi, seems like you have experience in buying from these places.

I saw a unit on Carousell, claimed that its new / sealed from US. However, I'm just worried about the warranty period - activated or inactivated. Also, is there anything I should ask from the seller, as a buyer before I make a purchase? Seller's reputation quite legit, 50+ reviews all 5* with Carousell Protection.
*
Ask for free replacement of the 3 pin adapter. smile.gif
by default they come with 2 pin.

Also no worries about the warranty.

Thanks. I actually ordered the Apple Travel adapter already, skeptical about using a non-authentic 3pin adapter. The rest should be fine right?
*
Yes, should be fine. Make sure it's a sealed unit.
Then open the unit in front of you to make sure it's not an empty box lol

Hi guys, has anyone of you tried the magnetic USB-C charger for Macbook Pro? I saw some cables that can mimic the MagSafe connection.
