I recommend TS to go smaller tire size if concern about fuel economy. If use 195/55/R16 your tire diameter is more larger compare to 185/55/R16 and fuel consuption for sure is higher. The best is 195/50/R16.

Have been using 205/50R16 Falken 832. Cornering quite stable seldom squeek. Fuel consumption around 300~320km full tank city driving. However, if you r considering Falken 832, the tyre side wall really thin. Scratch the curb a bit you will end up peeling the side wall mad.gif ... (Perfectly fit the arches no scratching during cornering)
Currently thinking about replacing to 195/50R16 or 185/55R16 Toyo TR1. But still considering because because my driving style not aggresive anymore.

Not sure how big of a performance difference will a 185 to 195 upgrade be, but FC will be affected a little, not much, perhaps 2-3% increase. Only thing about 195/55 is that there are plenty in the market and are cheaper than 185/55.

However, I've been pondering about this topic as well. I have 185/55 now, and if I upgrade to 195/55 but low rolling resistance tyres (like the Michelin XM2+), will the FC be affected less?
