today i receive my digi statement....attach with the free notebook promo leftlet...

any one had sign up the RM149 or Rm161.50 package?

Oh no ... ! I do a test at 3pm now.. the EDGE speed is drop back to 33-50kpbs again.. What happen?? what happen??
Only earlier in the morning only i can get average of 200kbps...

My edge speed is only ok before 8am (above 100kbps) . After that it will drop below 50kbps.

As suggested by bro cy97, install neteagle can increase the speed a bit. (Thanks bro cy97).

Man, i think unless digi bought over time and upgrade to 3G, if not our speed cant help.

If I am correct, Digi QOS will benefit voice calls, that is why the internet speed will vary, try it at 3am, suppose to get the full speed , Do correct me if i am wrong...

Need some help here....

I'm looking to get an internet access at my area (without telekom service) and Digi's package is my first choice. But was told that it will take 3 weeks to process, where i need the internet connection urgently. Any idea where I can make the process faster, e.g. pay up the whole lump sump, register at their HQ, etc? Thx

Digi network people call me. They said they had reset the "server" at my area... Ask me to monitor for few more day before they close my case. Will monitor 2 nite onwards..
They said, normal speed is 70-200kbps.. as it is a share bandwidth method.. My opinion 70kbps..hmn.. not acceptable.. at least the average speed has to exceed 120kbps..

If you need internet access urgently and dun mind to pay high price, why not just buy a prepaid simcard and top up RM 150.00 and you can use unlimited access for a month. But it actually follow calender and if you use now is really not worth it. If you can wait, just wait till beginning of the month and top up and use. It is good for you as you can test how "GOOD" the speed you get from edge. To me now it is too slow.

Me again for the update...The speed is better slightly about 60-70kbps... But after i installed Neteagle, the speed increased very very much. It boots up to 110-120kbps immediately after restarting my notebook. This NETeagle really works... But, then i still feedback to Digi about the slow connection even with NETeagle..

Nothing wrong with messenger tho...is just the edge speed is like that one.

is it possible to use the plan as a modem to connect to the internet from ur desktop/laptop computer?

Yes either HP ipaq 512 or Samba USB Edge modem. (some EDGE phone will work as well )

can it actually replace streamyx then?

It depends on yr need actually. If yr streamyx is only used for surfing and emailing, this edge can replace streamyx anytime. But if u use yr internet service for p2p downloading, streamyx still win one hand down. Edge will take u forever to download a 100mb movie.

how fast is the edge? i mean in mbps..

0.2mbps i think.. 200++kbps
