I'm looking at Wii sports, it seems like a good thing for elderly in nursing home. It can catch elderly people attention and let them enjoy the game while staying active. But, the thing is the console was old dated and I worry about the life span of the console.

I saw this nintendo switch.

Not support Wii sports series.

Should I buy switch?

The consoles should last as long as you probably clean, and dust it off regularly ...

The next decision would be the game selections you wish to introduce in the nursing home, as some games, are workout based, dance based, sports, etc ... so depending on the game choices ... it would be easier to select the type of console to select ...

While the Wii would be a good cheap choice ... especially if you're beta testing this ...

Other options include:

XBOX 360 Kinect, PlayStation 3 with PSEYE ...

Of course, if budget permits ...

You can go for the latest of these versions of the above.

i believe he means robust in the sense of games that use controllers as motion device.

It's a handheld device and not particularly suited to older folks, controls are too small.

You do know TS can just buy pro controllers for the Switch if size is an issue?

That's that too. Although it does make your investment higher.
