nifi Mobile offers unlimited data, calls and SMS for RM59/month
BY ALEXANDER WONG 3:05 PM, 7 NOVEMBER 2019 14 COMMENTS

TM is now having a promo for its Unifi Mobile postpaid plan. From now until 31st December 2019, you can get their unlimited Unifi Mobile 99 postpaid plan for only RM59/month.

To enjoy this discounted plan, you would need to get it with a 12-month contract. The lower subscription fee for the first 12 months translates to a total savings of RM480. You can sign up online and they will deliver the SIM card to you for free.

Although mobile data is unlimited, the plan only comes with 10GB of LTE data for hotspot. If you need more, you can add 500MB for RM8 or 1GB for RM15. According to the FAQ, the plan is available for everyone including non-Malaysians aged 18 and above, but they don’t allow a plan change for existing Unifi Mobile subscribers.

During registration, a RM100 upfront payment is required and this will be used to offset your bill. If you’re porting your existing number to Unifi, the upfront payment will be waived.

i just buy a unifi mobile rm 59 plan

But cannot hotspot.

yes 4g : speed can reach up till 20 Mb/s, streaming utube no problem, even peak hour still going strong

but

when without coverage, your phone completely useless, cant even make a call

to compare with unifi mobile, give iur t a time, peak hour will become same as every telco, other than that, its Unifi, performance worsen over time

ps: if needed a sentiment for yes4g, can check ytl thread in job section

Not all but certain areas yes.

I would say the coverage is getting better and better.

I use yes4g to tether for work usually. to date i dont have much issues.
sometimes inside building like apartment i need to bring closer to window for better coverage.

overall great experience to be honest. just that the speed is too fast causing all those youtube videos to go 720 or 1080p and i need to tone them down manually if not my data GG.com

Unifi Mobile has its own 4G LTE network which runs on Band 5 (850MHz). For areas that are not covered, it will roam into Celcom’s 3G/2G network. Since their data quota is split between LTE and LTE/3G, you’ll need to be within Unifi Mobile’s coverage area and have the right device in order to maximise your usage. In case you’re wondering, Unifi Mobile is supported on iPhone. You can view their coverage map here.

Mine is 30gb total quota . either tether or not is 30gb only

if you wan tether why dont you consider getting the prepaid. now got promo rm 30 get 20gb( 10gb free10gb) for one month which is a steal

if you wan to use for phone only get the rm49 quite cheap to be honest. can facebook utube whole day lol.

band 5 is low frequency signal which penetrate wall better, if you are indoor most likely auto switch to band 5, slow speed.
band 38/40 provide better speed/signal but outdoor mostly.

You can view their coverage map here.
now unifi mobile can use celcom line or not?
*
another way is to go gsmarena.com and check ur devices got band 5 or not. most of the flagship series will cover band 5...
those lower range or mid range 1 i dunno la.

same problem, not only indoor but depending on area, showing 4g but speedtest 1mbps only....wadapak~

Used it on umobile p99 unlimited which has 30gb cap hot spot. Yes really unlimited, but free ones has app cap, means need to relaunch app every now and then, worth getting the paid app.

it is a means to bypass hotspot cap coz they use your mobile data. Unlimited quota plan better coz most unlimited plan has a hotspot cap.

yes 4g : speed can reach up till 20 Mb/s, streaming utube no problem, even peak hour still going strong

but

when without coverage, your phone completely useless, cant even make a call

to compare with unifi mobile, give iur t a time, peak hour will become same as every telco, other than that, its Unifi, performance worsen over time

ps: if needed a sentiment for yes4g, can check ytl thread in job section

U can survey the location speed via opensignal apps. Basically these 2 postpaid, unifi & umobile is the slowest vs the usual plan like celcom, maxis, digi.

just a question:

if let say i put this unifi mobile unlimited in my laptop that has LTE capability, and if i mirror it via chromecast or similar dongle, or using HDMI cable to watch on my big LED tv, will it uses the 10GB HOTSPOT quota or the normal unlimited quota?

kindly...... everyone switch to Unifi RM59 promo....
with contract 1 year.....

I was so happy to find out that now Digi congestion at my house no more after cancel Celcom Home BB RM70 plan

Guess what.........Celcom want to take back the modem and i flatly refused it as i say mine is 1st Batch unlocked....i say i pay penalty should be suffice.

Keep saying changing T&C....must give back..
i keep saying let me talk to the Manager in Charge but no want to see me.
Pity the Celcom Customer Counter staff....in out..... see his superior many times..

i loudly say i want to see the Manager or ask for a letter saying otherwise so that i can report to MCMC directly.
Because Celcom say as long i refuse to return the modem...i cannot close the account nor pay the penalty.....Vavi Celcom...

What the Fucccckkkk....cannot cancel as long i never return the B618-22d wor.

Finally....allowed me to pay penalty but add some remark saying i refuse to return the modem on the form..

Now using the Unlimited Digi RM1 daily...on Celcom B618-22d unlocked.
Youtube 1080 without any buffer wor..
and stream movie at 720p easily...

Somehow...Digi RM1 performance is as good as Celcom and Unifi at RM30 as compared to RM70 and RM59

Unifi got both 3G & LTE, both r running concurrently..... so when u get low signal 3G will kick in, if good connection then its LTE. Only on LTE can u open hotspots for sharing..... max limit is 10GB. Very good deal if u ask me....

How to check if these model unlocked?i got too but not sure it unlocked or not..is it under setting -> unlock device -> unlocked?
*
Unlocked Device mean any telco...Digi/Maxis/UMobile/Yes etc sim can use as long band is supported.

Locked mean if Celcom/Unifi supply the modem mean can only use their SIM only......

Maxis user here, was thinking of changing to unifi mobile rm59 per mth package, anyone got real experience using it at Kuantan, Rawang and Kota Kemuning ?  Need feedback if it’s worth it to switch to unifi mobile ?
*
Dont bother..unifi coverage full bar but speed like hell 2mbps only. Sometime cant even load youtube. Mostly only band 5 rarely got band 38/40..im using both unifi mobile and yes 4g..with yes i can get up to 45mbps. Area mantin and nilai..if kampung area can get around 7-10 mbps

lenovo X1 carbon 7th gen
Asus Swift 7
HP Envy X2

and so on
*
Check what band lte it used. Unifi got band 5/38/40 but mostly 5..which is shit speed. Still its need to be modded to work with laptop or modem.otherwise sim not work

not slow but capped speed with unlimited hotspot
it is 3Mbps UP and 3Mbps DOWN

Funny is...it can do 1080p Youtube flawlessly for the 1st time inside my B618-22d

true that.

no wonder my ipad pro 11" works like a charm.

crossing fingers future macbooks will have similar LTE bands in the future.

I suggest you better have backup number
At times...even excellent Telco can fail to deliver at certain time .

It good to have MaxShit and Sialcom ....standby

UtterlyShitMobile and Unpredictable Unifi for it unlimited plan will be cost effective.

So far I am using this and not having problem

I can even use at small town like jerantut pahang, etc

even in genting too

if afraid to sign RM59, maybe can consider apply for prepaid to test first (only RM10 and inside got data to use)
