Please share your experience on the performance of Unifi mobile 4G. Especially when they are riding on the Celcom network (4G, 3G, 2G). Do share the 3G experience too.

I personally think that this is only applicable for certain area and MOST DEFINITELY not in Klang Valley.

Here is how I tested it on my Samsung phone.

1. Dial *#2263 to enter band management. Disable Band 5, 38, 40.
2. Dial *#0011# to enter band monitoring. After disabling all 3 bands, it is now connected to Celcom 3G instead. It showed WCDMA 2100 and H+.

I can say for certain Band 5 sucksssssssss, even when outdoors. I thought the stronger signal would result in better speed versus Band 38/40 but I was so so wrong. If you can get Band 38/40, then it is still acceptable especially on Band 40. Band 5 was totally useless indoors with my speedtest in Jinjang Utara showing 3xx Kbps... worse than StreamyX back then.

Im mostly in Kepong. Im just got my Bebas sim few days ago to see if its viable to sign up for the RM59 offer. I was tempted because I just got Unifi Air for my office in KIP and honestly for RM79, I had nothing to complain since we are paying RM99 for 1Mbps and now its between 20-45Mbps.

From personal experience, Unifi mobile coverage is terrible. I'm living in Kota Damansara, travel around PJ/KL area and the 4G connection is not reliable.

Sometimes I can get amazing speed and connection, and sometimes there is no 4G signal at all. Now I just use it as my secondary SIM.

My main SIM, which is Tunetalk, has no issue at all with 4G. Both Tunetalk and Unifi claim to be using Celcom network too.

4g coverage is horrible here, can still get 3g even in the city centre.
The speed is predictably bad too, I regret using it

Now searching for a better telco

Me too. I like to use Unifi as I still have lots of free 4G data left from the allocated free 20GB, but the connection is not stable.
Like tonight I drove on Plus Highway Nilai to Sg Besi. I used my phone as hotspot in the car The 4G kept disconnecting and I had to search it manually and get it reconnected multiple times. There are areas that the connection is stable. If I didn't do the manual searching, it'd take ages for 3G to change to 4G if ever. Tunetalk is much better in that regards.

to be clear unifi uses it own 4G, it only roam to celcom network when there is no unifi 4G coverage

For my area it is terribly slow. Barely 4-5 Mbps. Even reception is poor resulting in poor voice call quality. Even with Volte.

So far I experienced only one area where speeds are incredibly fast which is in Cheras, Sri Permaisuri. But I don't live there anymore so is worthless to me.

Been using unifi 99 mobile for months now, 95% of time will get LTE. I live in puchong condo mid level, still can get LTE, watch movie online everyday never stuck. Same thing at office in PJ, manage to get LTE all the time. Tried at both my hometown (east coast area) still get LTE and at hubby's, sometimes I get 3G but very rare. Before this I used umobile, quite frequent I got no service at hubby's hometown.

UMobile can use or cannot in your area..
That's the main question...

If okay. Then UM is the best..
If not, even cheaper no use is cannot utilize the services paid 😅
