Charging

The Spunky Beat can be charged via either the USB Type C port or with its built-in USB-A cable.

Spunky Pro vs Spunky Beat
Attached Image Attached Image
The Spunky Beat does sound better than the Spunky Pro because of the Qualcomm QCC3020 chip used.

I prefer the wireless charging of the Spunky Pro more than the built-in USB-A cable.

The Spunky Beat will magnetically hold the earbuds in the holder whereas the Spunky Pro doesn’t have strong magnets like the Spunky Beat and I have encountered a few times the earbuds came loose and connected to my Samsung Galaxy S9+ while in my backpack.

I also like the pop-up cover and magnetic cover from both Spunky Pro & Spunky Beat.

Testing
Attached Image Attached Image
Watch some Youtube videos, listened to some Spotify and played some PUBG Mobile & COD Mobile. No noticeable delay.

Final thoughts
I really like the new Spunky Beat. Sounds really good for such an affordable TWS earbuds.

Don’t like the shiny black on the Spunky Beat. Prefer matte black more. Just a personal preference.

Tested with Hideaway by Jacod Collier and the Beat's soundstage sounds wider than the Pro.

The Beat sounds more of a balanced signature compared to Pro's bassy signature.

I'm no audiophile but it's what it sounds to me laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Sound quality can really be subjective to the tastes of the person using them. In my view the bass is what this model is known for.

That said the AptX is defo step in the right direction in improving the sound quality.

The Pro is defo more bassy than Beat. I've also had comments that talking over the phone using the Pro is like talking on your speaker.

Hey joey, you mentioned that the Spunky Beat buds will get held in by magnets to the case but the Pro doesn't.

I just read voncranes review and he said that his Spunky Pro has the magnet pull on the case. Could you double check this?

Below is the quote from his review.

AND they have magnetic bits that does the final pull & fit.

Checked my Spunky Pro and there are magnets in the case that hold the earbuds but it's not as strong as the ones on the Spunky Beat. Spunky Beat can feel a strong pull than the Spunky Pro.

Thanks for me letting me know. I will update the 1st post.

HI Joey, how about call quality ? Like for mine, when i answer / make calls thru this spunky pro, the other end caller reporting dissorted noise and hearing me quite far from the phone..but when i recorded audio thru this headphone, i can hear clearly without any issues.. TWS is paired with my oneplus 6t running Anroid 10, not sure if its phone specific issue. How about yours ?

I haven't tested with any calls yet. But all my friends can hear me clearly in PUBG mobile. Later test and see.

I can confirm after having tested them, sound quality is not great on the Pro, it seems muffled? At least that was what I got when testing them on Whatsapp and normal calls.

Tested the Spunky Beat calls using my wife's Huawei Mate 20. Sounds very clear but a bit on the soft side.
