If you know how to setup, you can junk the TM router and use your asus router. Remember to hardware reset your asus router before proceeding to clear of previous connection settings.

But you need to contact live chat/call 100 to get your connection ID and password, if not router cannot connect ONU to internet.

very likely, but stable implementation and to gain trust of new subscribers will take about a year.

so just sit back 1 more year to observe how the market fight, or by then, the new players could even pay your termination penalty in order to poach you over.

can buy add on fan if scared overheat, no need external power source, power tap from sub socket on the router itself.

I also used ac86u and i didn't pasang the fan even though i paranoid and bought it, no overheat issue/don't notice overheat issue till now. The router some more placed near window with direct sunlight. Almost 2 years already, no problem, other than occasionally on/off to restart. Maybe the firmware update can optimise things a bit, because i updated it the very day when i put it to use and one more update a year later.

Suggest you get a switch la....no need waste money buy new top end router. You also need to replace the receiver end antenna to be ax/wifi 6 compatible unit. 2 times cost outlay, no point....

The previous alcatel unit became unstable, keep disconnecting. So live chatted and technician came, changed to huawei BTU and respliced the connector a bit, FOC.

Even long ago streamyx time, my modem router broke down due to lightning strike, also changed FOC.
