Any of you use mesh system, any good one's to recommend for 500mbps unifi. Looking at Google Wifi, and Nest Wifi, both doesn't have any advance options.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Nov 21 2019, 02:50 PM) I just installed 2 unit Deco M9 Plus in my house (2 more in my parents). Does the Deco also auto pick for you if it's going got 5G or 2.4G? Yeah mostly i'm just getting it for the coverage and speed, just thought if there is any nice advance routing options on it, guess not. What I found from my research is that no mesh system gets all the advanced routing stuff that 'proper' routers have. They're really for simplicity only. So if you want to choose your 2.4G channel or VPN, look elsewhere. That being said, my wife is really happy with our wifi speed and coverage now, so quite worth it for me. |

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Nov 21 2019, 04:49 PM) Deco M9 Plus, if you want a budget option. You can get AiMesh but that would be pricey. The price actually very close to Google Wifi. I think i'll go for that over Deco M9, which is jist a bit cheaper. Guess there is not much cheap option for those with 500mbps and up for mesh. You are right. Yes, you can’t set 2.4 or 5 separately. Aiya.. need Vlan tagging so need a Switch for Google Wifi. Maybe just get Deco M9 Plus like this. This post has been edited by Rei7: Nov 21 2019, 05:17 PM |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Nov 22 2019, 09:32 AM) You can only set the ESSID and it will use for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Also can do a guest network. Thanks. I think i'll sit out on this first. Wait for Wifi6 at leastOne option you can consider is to get a separate router (maybe mikrotik) and only using the Deco units for wifi as mesh AP. Not sure what limitations there will be in this case (you can set your Deco DNS settings, but it looks like VPN is out of the question). I'm too old for this s**t so I just use internet only la. |

Up again for now in Ampang area. I'm sure there is a ton of reports. Since the outage is not only in some areas. Penang, Sabah, Sarawak and other regions as well.

QUOTE(moiskyrie @ Aug 11 2020, 01:34 PM) Want to know, Relocate can. No fees usually. Need to check the housing area port still got or not, and if Unifi is available as well first tho.In next 2 month will move to new house, Can I transfer to new address existing plan/price? Or change name? Change name also possible. Just go to TMPoint. Not sure if open or not due to covid |
