To avoid deliver incorrect messages to the technician, do you have an example of this part? I think a picture will help.
A bit noob not sure how should I explain this to the technician.
If they don't understand, I will just show them a picture and ask them to follow that.

Ask if the fibre connector/head they're supplying in standard installation is PC or APC type.
That will help you confirm which coupler type and patch cable you need to buy.
Don't worry about the FWS box, it should be compatible with both as just a placeholder box to slot in the coupler.

My suggestion is go a little extra by asking the installer to plug it into the coupler and plug a patch cord to separate into 2 sections for easier future troubleshooting.

Im more worry about this part. not sure how to ask them to do it.

If the installer tells you he doesn't know what is a coupler/adapter and says he doesn't know how to use it just ask him to leave your premise and demand your ISP to assigned another competent installer who will.

Either he's BSting you or he doesn't want to do it for you. Don't let them talk you into it and get away with a care free lame malas attitude. All trained fibre instalers should know the very basic stuffs like this.

Report back and make complain to your ISP.

Well, tie you to contract is due to the downgrade and not equipment. Only new applications and some upgrades will have equipment change.

That's the problem you see. They selectively offering this kind of deal for potential new customers.
What about existing customers? New customer that signup for Unifi? Streamyx user?
All the different pricing and they are focusing user to renew their contract every 2 years.

Many streamyx users are still paying expensive bill with slow and unstable internet speed.
RM69, RM79, RM89? Paying for the price with the speed in between of 2M-8M.
Some reported they are paying higher for only 4Mbps.

what they offer for Unifi Users.

RM89 30Mbps
RM89+RM10 50Mbps (force you to renew 2yrs contract)

RM129 100Mbps
RM199 300Mbps

Some of the forumer share they are getting 800Mbps for less than RM200, good for them.

Now please take a look what they offer for Maxis Fiber Users instead

RM39 30Mbps
RM79 100Mbps
RM149 300MBps

Is this unfair business practice? YES.
Are they treating loyal customer like a cash cow? YES
Is the monopoly National ISP secretly giving sepcial rate to different customer acceptable? Absolutely F*cking Not.

Internet is an essential needs, with the pandamic happened it become more obvious.
This is not okay. I don't think we should tolerate this kind of of BS anymore.

That deals didn't stated unifi lite or unifi fibre clearly. Only unifi 300Mbps, unifi 100Mbps, unifi 30Mbps.
Maybe that's the reason they change streamyx into unifi lite. So that we never know it's fibre or copper if they advertise it as unifi.
But still that RM39 for 30Mbps!

rm199 for 300Mbps that need to bundle with unifitv imo is most stupid combo ever. who the shit wanna bundle with unifitv .. they should just separate it and do it like maxis rm149 for 300Mbps.

These are the problem parts TM like playing for a long time until present day. Really like to mix the price ingredients. from starting streamyx era jom jimat or whatever package name that cheaper price then come to unifi price. Mix price again. Why not changed strategy fixed or auto revise all subscribers to latest price like done by maxis and other ISP related. When they played this game they put their own trapped. So, it's very hard right now to fix the price for all their subscribers whether existing and new one because some of us got cheaper and expensive paid that really mind blowing. Their promotion ads also will put their own trapped too with fishy terms and conditions not cleary one.
