I think TM has throttle the unifi speed recently, my 800mbps speed is now only 300mbps no matter which part of the day. maybe to cater more bandwidth for other users, since alot of folks are working from home now

Definitely sounds like a router problem. Maybe somebody using it for DNS amplification attack or connections are not being closed or a memory leak somewhere causing it to slow down over time.

Nope. I can get 800Mb/s all day, no throttling whatsoever

Few questions:
1. When you run the test, did you use WiFi or Ethernet cable?
2. What router are you using?

Sifu, again.
Any of you have experience this problem? ,

The problem is,

When I'm on gmail, twitter,mi home, and etc. When I'm on my unifi (50mbps @ router Nettis) the apps or the contain wont load or shows. Examples, when I'm on twitter. The image & videos wont loads. But when i change to Mobile data, the contain loads smoothly. This happen quite regularly.

So yesterday i make a report to TM, than today the technician came. And check2 all my connection etc. Hhe say, everything is in good condition.  My internet run fast, no problems.

Why I'm facing this issue???

So , how do i fix this or what should tm do?

The [email protected] out of stock. They can't change my router.
Sifuuu help! Any of you facing this problems.

Just buy RT-AX56U @ RM439.00 only. Asus AC68U is not worthy as per current date as we are moving towards WiFi 7 (802.11be) era

Using Ethernet cable, i believe my brother modified the DNS settings as i'm not getting the usual dns configuration. Using a tp link router that is bought from Harvey Norman which not the one used by TM.

If the DNS change that is causing the speed issue, then i would have isolated the problem already. Maybe some sifu can confirm on this

if you are going to be recommending this router, please be aware this model has a heating issue. if you use it long enough and under load, it will overheat then the speed will slow down a lot, also to the point you may have internet dropping.

solution is to use a fan on it, which will reduce temps to working temp conditions. but this requires using a separate fan......

i would rather recommend investing in a pfsense DIY router with decent specs, and good cooling so you can achieve better results in terms of security features, performance. for wifi you would need an additional purchase of a wireless AP e.g. ubiquiti AP is good, but there are probably cheaper options.

Yes asus router is ok, especially once you install rt merlin firmware on it
https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/

ease of use and setup, a Asus router with rt merlin. For better performance, security but requires a bit more knowledge to configure (youtube helps) get a pfsense diy router (there are also prebuilt pfsense routers online for purchase).

What model?
Check the router CPU usage* during when you run the Speedtest
I'm using ASUS GT-AC5300, no trouble whatsoever in getting 800Mb/s on both Ethernet & WiFi anytime all day, everyday

*Router CPU usage - not your PC CPU usage, it's the router itself, you have to login into the router settings to see it

I have to partially disagree with you. Yes, the AC68U has heating issue, but it don't really slows down my network. I am a heavy internet user. I used USB fans before, but I ditch them out since it is a wear and tear process. The current best entry-level router solution is non-other than the AX56U.

Text marked bolded:

Thank you brother for pointing out the advantages of using asus-merlin over asuswrt. Well, I prefer ASUS router not only for their longitivity, but for their firmware flexibility as well. Below are the screenshots of the scripts I am currently running in my AC68U (flashed with Asus-Merlin fw):

If I have more budget, I may opt for a pfsense router or Ubiquiti instead.

no problem getting 800+ Mbps for me
another thing you can try is to reset the router to defaults and reconfigure again and do the speed test
