Helloo, can anyone explain to me why even after I disconnect and reconnect ppoe connection multiple times on my router I am still getting the exact same external ip?

I need to reset the whole router which takes about 3 minutes a time in order to be given a new ip

Usually when I disconnect ppoe it’s during working hours but I wanted to play GTA today and my ip was blocked by rockstar

Tried to change ip at 5AM

Is it the fact that there are less users changing IP address that I was getting back my same ip until I shut it off a little longer by resetting ? Or is this a common feature of unifi? I’ve never notice until today.

Don't worry about it. Pakji hasn't actually used Maxis Fibre before.

This reminds me of sHawTY and "crappy" TP-Link routers. laugh.gif

1. Is it possible to buy new 4k unifi tv box instead of paying monthly rm10?
Need another tv box for my other tv.
2. If we can use more than one unifi tv box, the current tp-link router has a dedicated lan slot for iptv, will the speed be affected if we slot it in the normal lan slot?

Excuse me, I did use TP-Link routers. Lots of them before I made the final decision to stay away from TP-Link
Look at all my older posts from 4 ~ 7 years ago about my experiences with TL-WR1043ND, Tl-WDR4300, Arhcer C9 & several other TP-Link modems & routers

If not mistaken, the additional 3 uses wifi, so it is using PLAYTV app... low quality video.
No difference if u use other boxes, same app, same quality.

The more interesting question is can this new box simply replace the old one on lan4 to get UNIFITV, incl the one new 4k channel.
We will know when the first people install it next couple of days n report back here.

channels will be full, same as STB on lan4... but the quality will not be same - but same as the playtv app on any box now.

i seriously doubt with just that new box on wifi, u get the HD quality like from the STB lan4.

the stream quality is not just about the box as that box by today's std is rather low end too... the bit rate they use is v low.

even with the most powerful box, the current playtv app quality still sucks big time. tongue.gif

anyway, we wait for actual users to confirm and comment.

The bit rate is just a setting. They can tweak it just like that. Only things is whether it's important enough for them to realize that.

Lan4 is just around 8Mbps.. If netflix can give you 25Mbps content through 3rd party provider I sure TM also can provide that within their own network.

I have the same package. I called & chatted with them. Both gave same crappy excuse. If we want the Unifi Plus Box we need to either pay RM10/monthly or downgrade to 300Mbps plan and get it for free.

So damn frustrating. No point being long term customer. bangwall.gif vmad.gif

What is your definition of censored.

If you are expecting to see tits then the answers is yes, it is censored

But you get a bit more violence compared to say on TV3 show

Netflix not Full HD @ 4K..

Max normal netflix can run up to 980x540 (Version 6++)

Better buy Mi Box. If u wanna use astrokgo, use web browser only..

Or buy 2 too.. TX3 Mini + Mi Box  brows.gif  brows.gif  brows.gif

I have recorded customers service chat log.. that service personnel promised me that my next month's bill amount will be exact 129RM exclude SST.

Just wait for next month's bill,
If TM still charging additional 30rm for aneka/ruby/varnam pack. I shall file complaints to MCMC.
