Hi All,

I am thinking to rebuild a mini-itx PC which was previously spoiled due to the mobo, but now i have the parts repaired.

But i want to do smaller casing(smaller than my current ITX-casing which can actually fit in a standard ATX PSU), in fact, smallest possible.

Something like this:

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/l80-comp....2cc849fbwLStde

So i will not be able to have an internal power supply like ATX or even SFX PSU.

I will need a PICO ATX powersupply like this:

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/dc-atx-p....56e449fbUCOrcc

and an external powerbrick (like laptop power brick) like this:

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/free-pow....473149fbBymWOS

After much reading, i understand that the polarity of the PICO PSU and the external power brick must be the same. It's easy to check the polarity of the external power brick, but for the PICO PSU i have no idea how to check and usually there is no description of it online.

Another question: the PICO PSU i will choose will be 19V(DC Input). I understand this will output 12V to the motherboard, so should be fine, but i just want to seek some confirmation if possible. Reason to choose 19V is most external powerbricks seems to be 19V and it's very hard to find 12V powerbrick with sufficient ampearage to hit 150W (i target 150W, although the PC will operate maybe under 100W even at peak usage).

Anyone has experience building such a system, please share!

Thank you.

Changed my mind going 19V. Now just use 12V Pico, coz its smaller and no need extra space to mount. 19V pico power supply separates the board from the cable, while 12V have just some circuit on the mobo connector itself.
