- No obstacle avoidance - No usb charging. Need to bring the charging brick - Cannot control with phone - No gestures, no tap to fly, no active track - No manual controls, terrible for backlit situations when you need to change exposure - Stuck in CE mode (rated range less than 500m) - Propeller is screwed to the motor with phillips screw, need to bring screwdriver to change props
Actually it's fine if you're just getting into drones, but for seasoned drone flyers, there are better alternatives out there... waiting for a spark 2 with 2.7k 3 axis gimbal and 30 minute flight time

Saw a reviewer shows there is a usb type A port next to the micro sd slot. i think thats the only way to charge the battery if you have the non combo version.correct me if im wrong..
- Just learnt that you can charge the brick with powerbank - For Malaysia market, some seller is selling FCC version, it's worth confirming with the seller first before buying
Some negatives - Drone not able to fly well in high altitude situations - Micro usb port on drone and controller is quite flimsy and can break easily
Ask seller before buying If the DJI fly app can check wifi bands, then if 2.4G wifi bands only up to 11 channels, that means it's FCC, more than that, then it's CE

I think in DJI international site, Mavic Air 1's price is already discounted (get flymore combo at normal unit price) or something. There were guys commenting in DJI forum about it.
Jz saw ppl panic selling mavic air flymore combo used for like 2.1k on carousell, so top up sikit get better drone

All new DJI drone will use DJI Fly app in the future, even with the newly launch Mavic AIR 2 is using it. The development/enhancement for DJI GO will be be stop soon.
Thats a shame, cos fly app isn't nearly as intuitive as go app
for those that wan to get FCC version, i think you need to change your decision d. it is confirmed by DJI that FCC version will still run like CE in CE zone. and FCC version only got 5.8ghz meaning you are pretty much stuck with 500m max range in CE zone. so get CE version better coz the 2.4ghz can go up to 2km max range.
i also called droneskaki to change my order to CE version.
Afaik, ce version drone can't be hacked to use fcc due to hardware limitation fcc version drone will be defaulted to ce if you're in ce region but can be hacked to use fcc
So if you bought ce version, afraid you're stuck with ce limits

I just got my M2, really good flying machine, build quality is great, don’t know drop how many time on floor from more than 6meter height top cover also cracked already and one time dropped in to the drain with water covered the half body when took it out, smelly water come out from it, quickly take out battery and wasted with clean water and hair blowing it for 30mins, and surprisingly still can fly as normal.
I have the parabolic thing and also the fish bone thing. They only improved a bit. I still have the same problem. I guess MM1 is a really poor product from DJI. Yes, if I'm upgrading, it would be Air I guess.
It's using enhanced wifi transmission which is susceptible to interference, what'd you expect
If you want better transmission, can spend on drone with occusync
