hi...
my 5 month old ipod video 80g got 2 dead pixel on the screen. ( 2 white dot)
ok, i know i can send it to the service center (still under warranty), but i just want to know how many people out there had the same problem. and what will apple do with this type of problem, replace a new one or just send for repair , if send for repair, how long will it take?

thanks..

As i know, no matter Camera LCD , Computer LCD or wat, as long as LCD , if follow standard warranty, your screen must have 5 dot or more only can claim, for more information, please read the warranty card that come with the device. sad.gif

How often does this problem occur? Is it(ipod video) very prone to dead pixel?

is it dead or stuck?
sometimes it is stuck pixel..
if thats the case u can try playing a video that changes colours rapidly...
usually that helps...at least for my lcd...

Apple doesn't repair the iPod when customers claim warranty, they replace it with another one.. just claim while you still can smile.gif
