To be honest, I believe lenovo just pushing this laptop to market and want to create awareness. It was between 3am and 7am, people post on lowyat about it.
I’m not really sure how many units given out, maybe 20?
Anyways this is really old story already, most have moved on now and looking for new deals, either pc or pc accessories.
Yeah, I have an X1C6 with i58250U, performance about the same with this laptop I guess. Just feels bad that it is a 5th of my laptop price. I dont need it, but it feels when you miss out on a good deal

Supposed to be limited to 5 units. But somehow they forget to put the limit.
I think my screen was 300 nits and it felt too dim even at max settings, when I am outdoor. 250 nits you will struggle a little more than me. Keep it indoors and you are ok I think.
original dock can source 2nd hand. typically they're the same for multiple generations. but latest *80 series (along with X1C) changed to type C interface, rather than pins on bottom of laptop. so you might have a bit of trouble.
but i'd just go with original docking.... there are no OEM docks for THInkpads afaik, else, just use a 200-300 bucks TypeC output.
Yeah for my staffs, I got them the latest underpin dock for those on X240 and the like. For those on X220 and the like I had to use a different generation of underpin docks
For those (me, because boss will use the latest hardware) that needs USBC-Thunderblot dock, we are out of luck since these docks seem to retain their prices. I can't find any 2nd hand too since no one is off-lease yet - most lelong sellers get their stuff from off-lease hardware from the states/europ

I had issues with the ethernet port (RJ45 connector) on my T495. Sometimes connect and sometimes does not detect. I have feeling it is because the fan is next to it so when laptop gets hot, the Ethernet port maybe just stops working. And whenever the Ethernet port stops functioning, I'll have to uninstall the network drivers and restart the laptop (so it re-installs the drivers). So far just happened once, and I am hoping this is a one off incident.
Also, I notice for some reason the ethernet port installs two drivers for the ethernet port, even after uninstalling one, it will still reinstall back two drivers. Could be a software issue instead of hardware.
I had the same issue with my desktop, can you try different cable? it solved my problem surprisingly. The "spoiled" cable works, but when it is used to max speed (100mbps duplex) it will disconnect.
guys, i need help finding a good "USB-C hub" for my X1 Cabon 6th gen. The laptop has a thunderbolt port which I will use to connect to the hub. The hub needs to have:
1. many USB-A ports 2. HDMI-out 3. Charges my laptop
ok essentially I need this below, but the price is RM1,000. We know Lenovo charges a premium on their accessories. Surely there are 3rd party USB-docks with HDMI and charges the laptop at the same time that are more reasonably priced?

Is it too short? Looks quite standard to me (in fact I would rather it be shorter than what’s shown in pictures).
Actually, my desktop at the office rosak (i think it was the PSU?), so I thought of just using a hub, so I can have one PC to do everything including when I leave the office. So the hub will be permanently fixed behind my monitor, so the cable that connects to my PC has to be long enough to reach my laptop
