i already sent bank payment receipts wor,..

Please take the initiative to cancel the order.

L340 is just so much smarter choice at a marginally cheaper price in this case.

Things missing out on the S145 vs L340:
- LAN port
- DVD ROM (also translate into slot for 2nd HDD)
- USB-C port
- Slots for M2 NVME SSD
- Webcam shutter

Mang, I'm spoonfeeding you here cause I see you as a fellow ktard and kecian that you didn't get a t13s last month.

The left most model, the RM1.5k one, can customise yourself.

Things to customise is 3500u, 4GB onboard RAM, FHD screen and 128GB NVME SSD. All together should be RM1.6k++. Use shopback to make it cheaper another bit.

The customization page is down at the moment? I can't load that page.

But from my previous order, everything needed like FHD screen, SSD, 3500u and so can go in together, but the RAM need to limit to 4GB onboard RAM only, can't upgrade the other slot.

But that's exactly what I planned for, as I'm getting my own 3rd party RAM for a cheaper price (8GB stick, RM110+/- from ADATA at shopee), save myself the hassle of disposing a 4GB stick if I gotten 4+4GB in first place.

it seems lenovo reluctant to give 3 yr warranty for e series, whereby t495 got rm1 for 3 yr warranty

however t495 basic spec start with ryzen 3 pro only, if want ryzen 5 pro add a lot $$

e495 start with ryzen 5 u is good price, just hopefully u r lucky to get a good led panal from innolux, as online buddy feedbackquoted that buying from lenovo just like gamble also don't know which supplier stuffs u would get, got 3 manufacturer supply led panel to lenovo, best is innolux, the other 2 dim display. same fate to other thinkpad models.
*
I didn't check on T495 now, but you should cukur if the warranty is now RM1, as previously theyre charging 299 for that.

Probably they marked up the device price as compared to previously, hence they able to cut down on the warranty there.

I don't mind their plenty of OEMs,
https://www.notebookcheck.com/Lenovos-Panel...s.426535.0.html

But at least they need to standardize a more reasonable minimum specs we're getting... Currently, some screens can be far dimmer or inferior than claimed, and sometimes it able to exceed what's claimed.

It’s your choice... You can definitely saved some more money with ShopBack on the above specs, that will make it notably cheaper than what you had paid.

I’m fact the price above is cheaper than what I paid for mine.

ps: The codes used above is "CHECKOUT".

As I guessed, it’s same as my case.

Ryzen 5 can’t go together with the other slot of 4GB RAM and FHD screen.

Dump the 4GB RAM and save yourself a whopping RM110 and use it to buy a 3rd party 8GB stick yourself.

Good idea for budget built.

Its spectacular if not for the Thinkbook 13s setting a level totally cant be outmatched, KEK.

Ryzen 5 is about the performance of an i5 and a 3 or 4 series discrete GPU, and that will easily cost RM1k more compared to this Ryzen build.

The only major problem with laptop is the screen really sucks. But after weeks of use, I agreed that its still very useable, at least for indoor.

Only thing is the Ideapad L340 comes with TN screen (even the FHD version). I already put in my mind don't get anything less than IPS display.
*
Yup, it sucks...

The only thing I'm hoping now is Lenovo dont have a screen whitelist in the BIOS.

If in near future the screen broken/faulty, I will definitely swap it out to a more decent stuff...

i dont even know where to find the discount page

Just go L340 page and select the right most option which priced at RM1.5k, then configure it as I stated.

Do remember to add the RM1 mouse, bag and warranty at the warranty page.

Then before checkout, use “CHECKOUT” code for further discount to the price I shown above.

Lenovo 1:-1 Xiaomi

A pricy lesson, but good PR and marketing gains I would say.

Or is it better wait for month end cuz I have Citibank card
*
Words of advice, don't get your hope too high up.

Cheap models will have little discount. Heck even high end models they can be reluctant to give out of ordinary discount too. In short, know what you wants and monitor the price accordingly.

EDITED: Apparently SPINSAVE10 can work on the RM1.5k option, that is pretty much the cheapest it can go I concurred.

Apart from been significantly cheaper than competitors (you can't find any other complete Picasso Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 laptops in sub RM1.5k range) and a good value, no real reason to get it unless youre in need of a budget laptop, LOL...

As many had warned, TN display really sucks in 2019. Its only for those that don't bother about image quality and just want something to be as cheap as possible.

QUOTE(kuci_mayong @ Nov 13 2019, 09:11 AM)
I would upgrade the cpu to atleast ryzen 5, take the 4GB + 4GB ram option, upgrade the ssd to pcie nvme for RM10.

And atleast go for 1080p FHD screen, unfortunately this option is only avalaible with Ryzen 7 option, otherwise you just get 15.6" HD (1366x768) only.

Processor : AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Processor (4MB Cache, up to 3.60GHz)

Estimated total:RM1,540.08
YOU'RE SAVING  RM598.92

Edit: Also upgrade the camera to 720p HD Camera with Single Microphone for only RM6
*
Wow, that price. Really makes the price I paid for mine (RM1.6k before shopback) looks bad, LOL... Luckily I got 14% (RM200+) cashback pending and a free copy of Microsoft Office H&S, else I will be really butthurting right now, KEK.

BTW, Ryzen 5 model can pair with 4GB soldered RAM and FHD screen. Its only limitation is cannot select another 4GB memory, but that's not a big deal as youre better off saving the money and buy it yourself a 8GB stick outside for cheap. 4+8GB is much more serviceable than 4+4GB, especially for APU/iGPU models like this which don't have dedicated VRAM by themselves.

But DAT waiting time for 128GB NVME SSD upgrade though...

Totally agree, and also minimum IPS instead of TN. However they want affordable, if you go FHD with that model, need choose Ryzen 7 option and once you do that, the cost jumps from RM1500 to RM2000. For budget conscious, that is a big 33% jump in cost.
*
Ryzen 3500u is practically performing the same as Ryzen 3700u...

They are both having same caches and cores/threads.

To make it even more interesting, some are arguing that 3500u may perform better than 3700u in iGPU despite the inferior specs due to the 25W power limit. 3500u having a lower CPU clocks allow more juice to be squeezed on iGPU side.

i called CS just now,... they said they can't cancel my order on phone, i need to write in,...

so i place another order (customized as u teach),.. and ask them to replace previous order with new order via email,.. waiting for their answer,.. if cannot, i'll just let the new order to expire,...

if they approve, i wonder how they refund the balance ??..

the customize section had changed, no more FHD on display,..but got 8GB ram removable,... end up price is rm1622 after code discount,..
*
Sorry for been late, but I hope you had read the previous post in previous page.

You should use SPINSAVE10 instead of CHECKOUT. That way the device will be costing under RM1.5k, and even further if you count in SHOPBACK cashback.

This is the "best" specs that I will configure. The choice of whether you want a DVD reader or a dummy bay for mounting extra HDD/SSD is yours to make though, they cost only Rm2 differences.

so place another order,.. re-email them and ask them to change to the new order and cancel the other 2 order,..

hope they approve,.. i apologize to them and explain i'm newbie buyer, dunno how to place order,.. and also explain reason of changing order is b'cos of the spec..

put my finger cross..

If you want the best package (Ryzen 5 with FHD screen), you can only select either of 4GB onboard or 8GB single stick option. They don't allow 4GB+4GB configurations to be ordered with Ryzen 5 with FHD screen.

But like I explained, top up just a little bit and you can get yourself a 8GB stick outside, far more future proof than 4+4GB.

From what I know from my homeworks before making the purchase, people generally agreed that Ryzen don't go too well with Linux.
