curious.

impact test and penetration test?
in line with UN ECE certification since SIRIM QAS also provides those test at their facility.

the MS1:2011 standard need to purchase to read.

made in china doesnt mean it is not legit bro.

As highlighted by me earlier in this thread,
MHR is the parent company of LS2, the founder is from China, and it all started from there.

History explained here.
https://www.ls2usa.com/about

locally/malaysian made helmet, doesnt require jpj approval.
And local made helmet, locally assembled helmet have Sirim sticker.

How do you guys wash your helmet? and what did you use to clean it?
*
All the helmet inner and padding I wash in coin laundry. Together with my gloves, balaclava and jacket.
Didn't even use a laundry bag. Never damage anything yet.

But I never dried them in a dryer. I always air dry under the sun.
The helmet exterior I use soapy water and a towel. The visor I use glass cleaner most of the time, sometime visor cleaner. But I find that glass cleaner cleans better so...

inner padding i remove and dump it into a laundry bag/net and dump it in the washing machine n drier along with my other laundry at coin laundrys... specifically laundrybar coz thats where i go the most.

the rest of the helmet, if im in the mood to do it, i just spray with water in my toilet using the shower head n soap it down with shampoo usually both the exterior and interior....leave to dry indoors for a few days (straps need time to dry). once dry i take a damp cloth to wipe the visors to remove any water stains and wipe dry.

Thanks to you I also now wash everything in coin laundry.
Makes my life a lot easier. All my stuffs now clean and wangi all the time.

if not the smell!  LOL

To help accelerate the drying, I always wet vacuum everything with foam after I wash them.

Shoes
Boots
Helmet padding
Seat
Etc etc

Works really well esp with tall riding boots and shoes. Wet vacuum to remove most of the water then air dry. I also use desiccant silica gel if they're still damp in the evening.

Well you can blame 22.06 for that. Every helmet onwards is gonna get heavier and bigger but supposedly safer. Rpha 91 in size M is 1740g on Champion helmet's scale and the new rpha 91 carbon of the same size is 1599g, a reduction of 140g. Shoei neotec 3 is at 1715g. Though I wish there is more weight saving, but I guess it's decent enough. Can't expect another Sportmodular weight helmet after ece 22.06 now.

even the arai tour series got bigger and heavier with the 22.06

the new tour x5 size (on the right) is considerably bigger and rounder compared to the tour x4 on the left.
