"A septic tank cleaner was killed after an underground septic tank exploded at a customer's house in East Jakarta. The cleaner was seen chatting with the owner of the house. The conversation took place just above the septic tank. At that time, the worker had just put a burning newspaper into the septic tank pit to prove the desludging process was complete and done properly. But the homeowner was complaining that the fire only kept getting larger.
Instantly after, a large explosion occurred from under the septic tank. The septic tank manhole cover embedded under the floor was also released due to explosion effects. The explosion killed the worker (44), and injured the homeowner. Luckily, he did not fall into the septic tank. Although he survived death, the homeowner could not walk because of injuries. "
Even at n Cambodia, each house has an individual tank not connected to public sewage because there are none. Gomen would send out workers to suck the tanks clean every quarterly or so depending on area.

Individual septic tanks are ok. As long as it's built and maintained accordingly.
Gas build up can be mitigated by having a vent pipe out... which is sadly, not seen in this video

makes perfect sense for those that are not connected to centralized plant. but iwk buat bodo mau charge you monthly fees regardless
kalau house connected to centralized plant, mmg la iwk charge u monthly fees. monthly fees to clear all your waste product.
unless u stay dkt rural or kg area where no centralized plant connected, then no need to pay to iwk. u call iwk to come clean, they will come with their truck and u pay one time charges to clear ur septic tank.

when iwk first start they buat bodo and charge everyone monthly fee regardless you centralized or sendiri septic tank still remember the hoohaa back then did iwk formally drawn the line of who need to pay monthly and who does not?
malaysia's septic tank is kind of centralized not individual meaning a huge area will have 1 septic tank...not individual houses
We do have septic tanks. Especially those old residential or where connection to a main plant is not feasible. For those huge ones that serves multiple houses or developments, they are call sewage treatment plants

they're not plants they're literally a tank stored under the road but is shared by many
once a year or so...can see a cute lorry with a weird looking tank behind it park there...attach his hose to the hole and suck it out
no. he wanted to prove that the sludge had all been cleared. if not clear, the fire would continue to burn. but that is the stupidest way to prove this as it can lead to an explosion if there was still methane in there. its like proving your car has enough engine oil in it by driving 100kmh in 1st gear.
Damn.. i never knew my shiet was that powderful... So why dun we have shit fueled cars then? Then u can just crap into it to get a few more miles... kinda..
