i suggest you write an article on it, too many people are clueless on the types of system and regulation on it.
if they know you can help setup a self-consumption system to supplement the tnb bill for their homestay or something they might want it.

people expect too much,
having enough solar power to net the power consumption of fridge and fans during the day would greatly help them to not exceed the higher tier of electricity bills

its same like you buying a gas generator, got cheap model and higher end model,
its same goes to solar, if you get a lower grad panel and inverter it might not be as efficient.

You only need tnb approval for feed in tariff scheme.
For off grid they dont care.
And for self-consumption system as long as you dont feed back electricity to the grid, tnb will be okay. Alot of cheap tie in inverter in lazada do not have current limiting function.. that is super dangerous if the grid is down and someone is on the tiang electric fixing faults outside.
