Hi, I just wonder, if I having a 2K (2160x1440) resolution monitor, and I play 1080p video or 900p game (Nintendo Switch Game) and let the monitor upscale it, will it have sharper image quality due to the density of the 2K monitor is high?

No, in fact it will look worse as it will be stretched to a 1440p resolution icon_idea.gif

Also, 2K is not 1440p. 2K resolution is in fact a slightly wider version of 1080p (2048x1080), which is a resolution standard set by the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) icon_idea.gif

Same goes to 4K and UHD as well icon_idea.gif

Nintendo Switch Legend of Zelda in 900p look very good on it, even though the monitor (ACER Nitro VG271UP 27" WQHD) is a 2K monitor, play 1080p video or 720p video file or youtube, all look good!

not sure if the image downgraded in lower resolution video or not though, but for 2K video and gaming, 100% can notice the details difference!
