DOF is shallow but the place was kinda dark.

It was either going to be higher ISO (could have gone that way), lower shutter speed (no way with my shaky hands), or bigger aperture (sacrificing DOF).

Will try other combinations the next time smile.gif

Thanks for the comments.

no lar...from what i see people take photos of food de in mags and recipe book, the whole plate of food in on focus...except the background or plate is blurred...so i suggested you lower your aperture...with that you no need worry so much bout lighting and can go higher on shutter speed also...my opinion that is... tongue.gif

Haha food in mags and recipe book has huge amounts of lighting wei...

But I agree that DOF is shallow. Smaller aperture might have given me more depth but as I sight, no light.

@Henry Hrmmm flashhhh....good idea tongue.gif

The problem is level. The color is simple too flat. Check your histogram. Do notice that there is a blank spot on the right, that's the reason causing the color to look flat and dark. A simple level adjustment will fix it.

I shall at least look something like this, if not better.
