why do u need a battery grip?

Since u have Nikon gear, might as well stick with Nikon in your upgrade path. D80 too has a battery grip.

but for my budget now, i can either get a 2nd hand d80 (body only) or a 350d

D40 is better than 350D ?

brand new 350D kit price im getting is RM2100 , and get an additional 50mm f/1.8 lens.. around RM2400.

but if i get D80, body alone already cost me around 3.2k brand new, second hand can get for what price? can advice? thanks.

I'd say, get D80. you already have the gears. then you can get the grip.

oh yeah, d80 or 30D , it's 2 diff class. one for beginner and another one is semi pro.

bro nairud, you also using 350d right? what do you think about 350d if compared to d40?

lol, you just wanted a reason to get a new camera didn't you? I believe my lens itself is already heavier than your camera + lens + flash.
