I just updated my N73 software from v.3.0638.0.0.30 to v.4.0727.2.2.1. After installing, when i check my pone memory shows only 26mb free memory. Previously i had 37mb. When i check in app. manager there are o lot of new app installed. Can i remove these app to free up my memory?

Hmm... I think the memory is used by the new A2DP. Why do u need the phonememory anyway?

Why dun just put all the files on the memory card.

hi guys,
i went through the front page N73 guide.
i m tempted to upgrade the firmware myself to new v4 as i m currently on v3.
however, i cant find any upgrade instructions, eg, how do i go about backing up stuff in the phone, whether or not i need to backup the mem card or can i temporarily remove it from phone b4 i start upgrade?
any1 kind enough to come up with such guide?
thanks a million!!
U can do the back up in many way, depends on what you want to back up,
-For normal files, just copy them to memory card or ur com.
-For contacts, u oso can choose to copy them to memory card, go to contacts, mark all, then choose copy to memory card. After u hav updated ur firmware, go to the contacts again and choose copy from memory card.
-For messages, u can search for a folder named "mail2", just copy it to the whole folder to ur com or memory card and restore them later by pasting it back to the original directory.
-For softwares, as long as u hav the installer files, u can re-install them. I recommend u to uninstall all ur softwares (both phone memory and memory card) before u update ur firmware and re-install them after u hav updated the firmware.
Yes u can remove ur memory card from ur phone b4 u start the updating process.
U can also choose to back up ur phone with the Nokia PC Suite but I dunno the details.
