QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Nov 14 2007, 04:03 AM) i pity my room mate. oh my.. i'm sorry to hear that your friend has been cheated. he's been conned by his own friend into buying a fake nokia N73.it looks too good to be fake, heck, the symbian front menu below the date time and telco name is just the same as normal symbian phone. the hellish nightmare came when he brought his phone to me asking to update the firmware.tried to update by using NSU but cant.Pc-suite cant connect.everything also cant.somehow an unknown USB device called "MT6227" came out of nowhere when using this phone's USB cable. he even gave me the box for me to see, surprisingly it's Nokia N73ME box! and with Nokia earphones and nokia chargers too! he'd been conned by his own dear friend the obvious phone spec are: 2mp camera USB mode: 3 mode to choose; mass storage, webcam, COM port camera screen not in landscape mode there's no Option in menu keypad lock is on the opposite site ( upper right button, and # ) there's no Autofocus the *#0000# was like this: CODE V2.0628.0.0.1 06-27-2007 RM - 133 Nokia N73(11) i wasn't able to spot the difference at the first glance..he should have brought me ( or someone else knowledgeable about phones) when purchasing the phone. he learnt his lesson now.bought the phone for RM800. came across another thread about this kind of phone on the internet: http://allaboutsymbian.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64796 picture taken using Sony Ericsson K618i, hence no autofocus. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Nov 14 2007, 04:09 PM) hmm, i've been thinking. hmm.. i don't think the price is justifiable. don't forget. an authentic N73 board might not take the camera module too and to change that will cost you more! can i replace the fake cheapo board with the real nokia n73 board?how much does it cost if that is possible? Added on November 14, 2007, 4:10 pm didn't take any action, as he bought it already.haiz.. Added on November 14, 2007, 4:12 pmdunno la..i ask him to ask refund from his member but he dont want.. |

my guess is the contact between the sim and the reader is loose. maybe you should try cleaning it.

QUOTE(steventanz @ Nov 16 2007, 07:33 PM) i doubt so. IMO, the contact's dirty. you know the tiny gold stips? wipe that. QUOTE(chicaman @ Nov 16 2007, 08:04 PM) How is the quality ? is there any difference compare to HS-20 than EX-51? Ur ad-41 is it original or those AP ORI or those grade AAA i see ppl say AP ORI and i don understand wat it means Added on November 16, 2007, 8:05 pmbtw, I got kena Insert simcard before, anyone got this Insert simcard error? 2 times only i kena, maybe i should ask for new simcard from digi haha.. since i got the phone, i've only been using AD-41 + EX-51. original gua, from my set. AP ori means it's an anthentic Nokia accessory, just that it's AP (just like phones have ori set's and AP set's).. |

QUOTE(azim61 @ Nov 17 2007, 03:21 PM) umm.. Symbian installers need certificates before they can be installed into Symbian-based phones. these cert's have pre-defined expiration dates. so when it's expired, you can't install them. there are 2 ways, first way is to use mstr's way, which is adjust the phone's clock time. second way is to recert the installer so that you won't have to play with the clock in order to install the application. |

QUOTE(gstoh @ Nov 22 2007, 10:15 PM) it has two functions.. let people the phone is in sleep mode from my experience, it'll only cause the keypad backlight to be either on or off. and another function is light sensor but, i feel the light sensor will just adjust the keypad back lightning only, will not cause the screen become brighter and also when it's "sleeping'. |

QUOTE(lauyamonk @ Nov 23 2007, 11:43 PM) yeah .. sometime when i wear jeans..... then take out the phone... it show "please insert sim card" ... zzzz .. how to overcome this ? i'd bet it's the conact between the SIM and the phone that's the culprit. QUOTE(chicaman @ Nov 24 2007, 01:05 AM) Since u are buying phone and battery , i will get a normal version instead and flash to ME myself.... Nop...i tried k800 and N73 focus.... N73 has a better focus no matter in far or macro mode.... N73 has a very clear macro mode... For k800 there is 2 type of metering mode, SPOT and NORMAL..... spot is with a crosshair where the iso, brightness depends on which point the crosshair shoots at.. while the normal mode is for overall compensation, usually use this at night cause if use spot at night, the Autofocus asist light will cause the autofocus to be useless at night... as it will be too bright when the focus light shines on object and the crosshair is aiming at the bright part causing the focus to be out of focus.... Thats why k800 picture has a better white balance and iso, their pic always wont be too bright or too dimm.....and with xenon flash its unbeatable... if N73 got metering mode like k800, definately will win k800 in day light photoshot..... but night shot, k800 wins for sure.... of course when he change to ME, he will change the product code but you can't change the sticker at the back of the phone. |
