I am rejected 3 months waived (3X RM129 without tax) for unifi turbo 100mb. Reason they want me to renew 24 months contract.

I am already used since Jan 2019. meant been for 11 months. 13 months left and i free to down or upgrade for better deal 'that time' hmm.gif hmm.gif

If you opt for the contracts, any broken router, phones can be claim. Otherwise, no claim, own pay. Unless there is push from Mr Gobind again, but from the looks and infos, no.

All routers & phones provided by TM is crap, not worth it to renew the contract just to get a new router
Whereas the BTU is lifetime warranty & it's still covered even if the contract is over

Renewing the contract just to get new shitty routers is stupid
Yes you gotta spend money to buy your own router but that's way better than renewing the contract for another 24 months because who knows within that period TM/Maxis/Time might offer new pricing

There are lots of routers with better performance out there in the market you can buy yourself & doesn't require contract renewal

Like what he mentioned. TM like to use Tipu Link , Dead Link and Netis router.
Actually if u're living in your own house, not rented i mean, i suggest u to take the contract. No harm.
If rented, don't take contract, it'll cause a lot of issue later.

Pros: Save 3 months Unifi bill. 2.1 months in my case due to hopelessly slow processing by TM.
Cons: Contract renewed so stuck for 2 years. It's a gamble. If other ISPs offer 800Mbps at less than RM159 then gg me.

YEP has no free router, no renewal of router warranty.

They want to lock you in for another 24 months which means 24 months revenue for them. Any cancellation during this period, the subscriber must pay for the balance of the contract.

I am same as you. Signed up on January. Not going to extend contract even give me 3 months free. Will change to other ISP after contract end. Can confirm other players will give better price then. icon_idea.gif

i took 3 mths off, maxis is same as unifi, even worse when got line fault.

Takes even longer to fix. Cause 2 parties need to arrange common timing to check. Already experienced this 2x at in laws maxis fiber.

Unifi uptime 99% my house. Only line down 1x in 4 years. Optical patch cord damaged. Free repair and new ONU given too.

Time does not exist in my taman anyways, they dont serve landed.

I am skeptical to take the offer, sounds like desperation from TM. I already have been using for 1 year plus. If I take the offer then have to recontract for 2 more years, to which other isp may give better offer or I may want to downgrade my bandwidth(100mbps)(only stream videos on YouTube or China streaming sites) or with 5G, no need to have broadband anymore

with 3 months free . save about 450 rm .
so real cost is about 100 RM pm @100 mbps , with unifi TV and 600 mins call.

where can get better deal ?

i think beginning next year onwards , they will strictly charge for onsite visit if not TM fault to cover cost.

Guys currently I am subscribed to Unifi 500 Mbps for RM199 per month. I chose to subscribe the 3 months pay nothing promo. I assume after 3 months. My speed will be 300 mbps and will pay RM199 per monthbut bonded for 2 years. Am I correct ah?
