My home is using 60.52 ip range and terrible Wow lag ( constant 1.5k ) and my office is using enterprise streamyx ( always green ).

So here is what I did,

I've setup a incoming VPN server with ICS ( internet connection sharing ), auto assign IP from 192.168.0.10 to 192.168.0.20 ( since ICS server will defaulted to 192.168.0.1 )

Using a router, you should know how to redirect port to windows box ( in my case, I use my laptop with dialer to streamyx just for testing purposes )

Tested dial in vpn using win 2k server, and connection established.

You can always check with whatismyip web to check which Ip you're connected.

On my next move, I'll try to use my modem as router and allow the VPN port.

Chronology -

1. connect to streamyx 1mb 60.52
2. connect to vpn server 218.x.x.x
3. connection established
4. open wow and play using 218.x.x.x ip on my shitty 60.52 ip

If the VPN server is behind a router, Port Mapping will need to be done on the router. Standard port usage is 1723 for PPTP. You might also need to configure your router for PPTP Passthrough. Port usage for IPSec is 500, 50-51. These ports will have to be forwarded to the VPN server's IP
