Agreed with you. I really like the evolution of RTM. From poorly designed motion graphics back in years, now they are doing something that even much more high quality compared to other stations. I personally really love this Berita RTM new intro. It looks very fresh and detailed especially how they picture the KL city. It makes Buletin Utama Tv3 leave behind with their simple 3D 😅

Media Prima to lay off 300 staff in second retrenchment exercise
https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/medi...chment-exercise
10 years ago, they have about 4,793 employees.
10 years later, now they have less than 1,000 employees. That drastic change  blink.gif  blink.gif  blink.gif

Looks like we don't need another 10 years time from now (or I would say, less than 5 years?), Media Prima would go bankrupt (or almost bankrupt) and its TV channels would cease broadcast?
Or maybe it still exists, but all TV3, NTV7, 8TV and TV9 would only show CJ Wow Shop and news bulletin, and seriously nothing else? I mean, no more TV shows from Korea, China, all those?  Opps.... shocking.gif
Or... NTV7 and TV9 would become the first badge of channels to be ceased?

Hmm okay.  sweat.gif

Oh my... It will be very funny everything are 24-ads, just the language is different like that.. laugh.gif

TV3 - Malay ads
NTV7 - English ads
8TV - Chinese ads
TV9 - Indian ads

Hi, wanna to ask you..

Is it MYTV decoder can support astro dish with position Measat 3?
And is it the LNB need to change? Currently using the astro LNB.

By the way, any idea how to watch the local channels using the astro dish?

Thanks a lot.

If MYTV combo box is connected to a satellite dish aimed towards Measat 3/3a/3b, it will be able to detect satellite signal but you can't watch the channels because it is encrypted by Astro.

Watch local channels using Astro dish? Just buy an Njoi box. biggrin.gif
It'll be cheaper if you tell them you don't need a new satellite dish cuz you already have an existing Astro dish

The situation is my parents get it for free MYTV Combo box. Put at there not using also feel wasted resources.

I have astro (not njoi), but already terminated, currently put the decoder in the freezer since less ppl watching. No point keep buy decoder lah since only 1 unit TV nia..

I don't want to move the position of astro dish because sometime if very "need", maybe will activate astro account temporary. But this time not need because no ppl in front at TV watching..

But sometimes at least wanna to turn ON TV (occasionally operate TV to keep long lasting lifespan)

However if let say I use C band dish to connect MYTV combo, is it whether can get search the channel? Position at Chinasat.

If your Astro subscription has been terminated, why not consider convert it into Njoi subscription?

You have a C band dish aimed at which Chinasat satellite? Chinasat 6b or Chinasat 6a?
I don't think MYTV combo box can support C band signal input.

Alternatively, if your Astro dish's position is "perfectly aligned" for receiving Astro signals (Measat 3/3a/3b satellites),
you could try use your MYTV combo box to receive Indonesian FTA channels, which I don't think you would interested to watch Bahasa Indonesia stuff anyway.

So you feel that the MYTV combo box placed in your living room is like "wasting resources"? Then you give it to me  biggrin.gif
Anyway, why don't you connect your MYTV combo box to your UHF antenna and watch digital TV channels as usual?
*
Haha.. Coz my subscriptions is Lite plan.. So if I convert to Njoi, next time got siki duit or "handy itchy" then cannot upgrade to Lite already.
Eventually my old folk house using normal astro (as I explained to you already terminate) while my bro house using njoi... I don't have plan to change njoi bcoz sometimes astro will offer bck something to me.. (Depend their mood..) you know what I mean lah.. brows.gif So not need so obviously...

But this mth receive a call from astro about my njoi (which is at my bro house) offer me a starter pack rm25 without any contract... So quite attractive include all chinese pack, then hand itchy agree to change it... cool2.gif

Nw only the old house there issued there... Although got unifi, bt my old folk ppl don't know hw to use the tv box... So far only my hand or eyes itchy open tv box to watch unifi.. Bt now most of the channel like animax, red hbo everything ceased... Ntg to watch already.. puke.gif

That why wanna to use MYTV combo box to utilize the astro dish... But since you say only bahasa indonesia channel, then no comment about it. sad.gif
Yes, I got the C Band dish which is at Chinasat 6b.. Damn it, that means this MYTV combo box only support for Ku band, right?

IF you wan the MYTV Combo box, I can sell to you...(IF you don't mind..) hahaha.. I just need some money for their old folks expenses.. (PM me then we can further discuss.. brows.gif )

Then what satellite receiver model you use to watch China channels from Chinasat 6b then? If not sure what model is it, take photo show here...

You can use your MYTV box to watch digital TV channels by connecting to a UHF antenna. Not necessary must connect to satellite dish also la.

After balik kampung check, saw my receiver model is MAXplus 4800HD

Lazy take photo but I taken from Google. The left side of Silver color.

My UHF outdoor antenna already broken, so I dun think the antenna still can function.
I got connect the Xtro dish (with same Xtro LNB) by connecting the MYTV combo box. Weird the frequency only receive all astro. The indonesia K Vision no found n appear no signal and ZERO strength.

I got plan to purchase indoor antenna for old folks. But just wondering is it can search better signal if use indoor antenna? The TV tower at Lambir, Miri there.

I scare that after I purchase indoor antenna, but signal still bad or no signal. Wasted if I purchase indoor antenna if this case.

go playstore, look for antenna pointer, install and look for your tower location. btw, indoor antenna, use a string and hang higher near ceiling, signal should be stronger.

Since it's only 3 channels, it'll be interesting to see their data rate.

You mean Brunei have 3 channels?
