QUOTE(devil_may_cry08 @ Feb 6 2025, 08:14 PM) from Kulai, I am using the indoor antenna which able to get the malaysia channel very clear, just wonder if there is any tweaks that allow to watch Sg channel also able to get the malaysia channel very clearInstead of "very clear", the main thing you should concern about when it comes to digital TV broadcasts is, whether you experience intermittent screen pixelation/blackouts (means unstable signal) or not. If yes, re-position your antenna. If no, then you're good to go. The proper way is, you monitor the signal readings (especially Signal Strength) while you readjust the antenna position, rather than just to "see whether you're still able to view the TV channel or not" (this method only make sense for analogue TV broadcasts, which has ceased many years ago). QUOTE(devil_may_cry08 @ Feb 6 2025, 08:17 PM) I see, based in Kulai actually, the external aerial that selling in shopee able to work? how many elements will work? Yes. Considering the line-of-distance from Kulai to Singapore (<45km), choose the 5 elements (5E) outdoor antenna is good enough. Make sure to aim the antenna towards south position (which is towards Singapore). Or I need to do manual tuning? To do manual tuning, enter the following frequency or channel number. Monitor the signal reading as you adjust the antenna. If you see 0% signal reading, adjust the antenna position until until it reaches the highest signal readings possible (Strength %), then press Scan (or Search). Here are the frequencies for Singapore digital TV broadcasts

Anyone here from JB, manage to receive Indonesian digital TV broadcasts?
If yes, can share which JB town you're in, and how many antenna elements do you use for your outdoor antenna, and whether do you use USB booster for that? |

Adjust the antenna position until it reaches the highest signal readings possible (Strength %). Assuming the cable of the outdoor antenna is too old (>20 years?), you might want to consider replace it to the new RG6 coaxial cable. This post has been edited by joshhd: Feb 6 2025, 09:27 PM |

NLKO moved to BB this week. MHI and WHI having their last day at Sri Pentas today. This would mean most, if not all major (non consert) programmes to be aired in Sri Pentas have moved out. I wonder if Living Delight (8TV) have moved. Qash-M liked this post

QUOTE(Izington @ Feb 7 2025, 12:16 PM) NLKO moved to BB this week. They'll be next; if the broadcast is 16:9 FHD, you'll know the talk show has moved to a new location. Tanyalah Ustaz is also involved.MHI and WHI having their last day at Sri Pentas today. This would mean most, if not all major (non consert) programmes to be aired in Sri Pentas have moved out. I wonder if Living Delight (8TV) have moved. Studio TV3 Glenmarie, which was previously the ntv7 headquarters, is the place to go for entertainment shows (i.e., live concerts). I suppose there will be no more Sri Pentas 2 at Plaza Alam Sentral. This post has been edited by doubleM2: Feb 7 2025, 04:21 PM |

By the way, may I know why there are neighbours installing the high antenna with complex structure? what are the purposes? are they overdoing it already just to receive Sg channels? This has to trace back to an era when analogue TV broadcasts still exists (before 2019).Analogue TV reception can be greatly impacted by even the slightest movement of the outdoor antenna. As Kulai is quite far away from Bukit Batok mast, a higher antenna has to be installed to ensure clean, clear analogue TV reception of Singapore channels. For the case of Channel U (analogue) and Suria (analogue), you have to also consider co channel interference from Gunung Ledang, which in Kulai, the signal is directly receivable and so careful installation has to be done to reduce the interference. However, digital TV switchover have made antenna installations less complicated, as there are no more "snow", "ghosting" on digital TV. You either receive the signal, have pixelation (as a result of weak signal) or get nothing. On a Singapore TV show, it shows that with correct antenna size/selection and also height (20m+), one can receive digital TV signal from Singapore in Muar clearly, exactly like how Singaporean viewers can receive the signal.
