My digital tv signal just went off because the construction of tall building nearby finally reached the "certain level" of height.  sleep.gif

So...what should we do?
We as in "8 neighbours" who DTTV signal got blocked.......

Initially, it was the first neighbour = finished 4th floor construction
Then, second neighbour = 6th floor
Third neighbour = 7th floor

Mine at the last row = 12 floor

this is pretty common. you cannot expect to have line of sight to the nearest tower. your only option is a booster and point the antenna to a further tv tower with clearer signal path.
I'm now pulling signal from tv tower that's 70km away due to the same reason sweat.gif

Not just them. There are many companies that still stick to 4:3. Remember when widescreen tv was new? Majority of people just stretched the display instead of black pillarbox.
I don't even crop cinemascope movies. If i have 16:9 screen, I watch it with black letterbox. Always maintain the aspect ratio that the director has intended.

Oh, what do you know?

Don't you know there is a plan by MYTV to bring in Singapore, Thai and Philipino channels to MYTV Myfreeview platform next year? It even came out in the news.

do you know how long it takes for NTV7 to be available in the whole sarawak? even getting TV3 was painfully slow.

is there any tv antenna installer who can actually setup an antenna mast from the ground instead of just a simple L bracket that is secured to a wall? just want to setup one from 1st floor balcony area until the height of the rooftop.
kindly recommend me a good antenna installer (PM me). my region is xiamen university, sepang area.

Why picture quality on all mYTV Myfreeview channels not sharp? They all look so blur.

MYTV Myfreeview supposed to be in HD quality but picture worse than SD quality. I use to remember analogue television SD quality was quite sharp. But MYTV Myfreeview channels so blur worst than SD quality.

MYTV Myfreeview make the picture quality sharp again.
*
have you checked each channel resolution (and the program itself)?
mytv never promised HD quality in every channel. icon_idea.gif

my location is xiamen uni area.

Then try reposition your antenna to somewhere else while monitor the signal strength readings.
*
can only get 650 (point at direction A) or 666 (point at direction B). if the antenna pointed between A & B, there is no signal. cry.gif

If you are living in an apartment and for those who can't receive any digital TV signals from the antenna socket in your house - it is important to ask the building management to upgrade/update the MATV system!

It is the building management's responsibility to provide and maintain the MATV antenna (as you would have already paid the monthly maintainence fees!)

You can of course use an indoor antenna, but results will vary depending to your area.

my house wall tv socket has 3 ports and has this written on it:
- satellite
- tv
- radio

for myfreeview digital tv, where should I connect? as far as I know, this socket has filters in it. I contacted a local tv installer and he said the tv is for analog tv and has high signal loss. is it true?
