Hi All

Just wanna share my experience with all.

I am staying in K.J (PJ) and I had been using izzi for almost a month now. The speed is terrible. At times especially during my using period btw 10.00pm till 12.00am its even slower than dial-up. To make matter worst the line is automatically cut-off randomly.

I complaint to their support people and yet they cannot offer me any solution. FYI, the signal strength is very good. I can get >95% most of the time.

However, like what want of my friend said, wireless broadband is still wireless and thats 3G or mobile transmission protocol hence pool quality and unstable.

After this episode and experience I think TM is still the best. At least I can still do email checking and normal surfing. Though P2P with streamxy is slow, u should try izzi out........forever....worst. Upload speed is terrible.......embarassing.

Will try to attached sspeedtest result for you to see here.

Hmmm....its sad to know they are izzi sales guys here who are unscrupulous.. However, take my word for it sales guy are always salesman and they don't know much about technical issue.

What old data its just 2weeks. Am trying to share my experience here and some young punk trying to be rude. Youngster nowadays are really $^%$^&$^&^

FYI, I don't might paying premium for good service but I am only getting 10% of the promised bandwidth. You think its ok ?

Btw, I have antenna provided by izzi and I am staying in SS4, KJ. I intend to lodge complaint to MCMC soon but filing and accumulating all evidence first. Here's the latest result for Mr.Izzi to see for himself.

And another think, for those of you who are getting good bandwidth then I am happy for you. But in my case do you think its ok paying RM98 for <150kbps and getting cut off or unable to sent email at all ??

Common sense. Everybody has it, use it wisely.

Hi All,

Great to see some great constructive comment now and not sales talk and etc.

Anyway, have not been working for the past 2 days and hence I get the chance to test the speed in the morning and afternoon. Seem like speed is ok but nothing to shout about. The least of all is it doesn't get cut off or dial up speed.

My only problem is at night. I suspect its too many user in Kelana Jaya and all sharing 1 single piping bandwidth.

Izzi tech support telling me the story of blindspot and etc.....but then why it doesn't happen in the day time? All this slow and crawling speed is only occuring at night. Here's are some screenshot of the speedtest for all to see.

I've tested in my area. After getting an antenna the bandwidth was around 500-600 on average, so I thought after getting another base station up, it would be higher. But even on the last few days of last month, the bandwidth already decrease to 400 at the most? Usually I can only get around 10-12KB per sec. While streaming 98kbps music, download speed can fluctuate anywhere from 30+ to 200+, so only a few times got distorted. So many people suddenly sign up in my area?

I think my area in Kelana Jaya are getting a lot of subscriber. In fact they are having a roadshow in KJ Giant Hypermarket.

Anyway, Kajika81, I think you are getting a decent speed compare to mine. Mine is totally pathetic. Every night after 10pm without fail I get disconnected, can't log on and if very lucky manage to log on then the speed is never above 100Kbps. At least u are getting >100Kbps.

My problem is I am only free after 10pm. Hence I could log on and do my mail checking, ftp and etc etc.....ym and etc. So during this 1-3hrs of my precious online time I expect consistency and decent speed before I go to sleep. Imagine my disappointment and surprise when I find the speed is so much slower than dial up. I feel malu not sure of IZZInet. Not sure whether they are trying to avoid this problem or trying to cheat as many people as possible or not. No matter what kind of business strategy they are trying on us......at least have some decency and ethic to give support and solution.

I am thinking to myself......perhaps I should have subscribe to celcom broadband instead.

Btw, I have a friend using 2 mths on Packet-1 (http://www.packet-1.com/) ...... Green Packet Company and he's getting more than 1Mb for his wireless broadband. Only problem is its only available in Setia Alam now.

Dear All,

Wanna ask anyone here have receive any warning letter from izzinet before ? Just today I got this email from izzinet warning me of P2P download. Anyway, I seldom download and am definitely not a heavy user like some of my friends using streamxy and etc. Recently I downloaded CSI S8EP01 and after completing this I left it on for a few days cause wanna help seed. It was the first time I leave it on thru the night for 2 days.

I have downloaded other TV show and there was no problem. Therefore wanna ask is this normal ? or was it because I have been complaining izzinet extensively then they trying to hit back at me ? An eye for an eye something like that ?

By the way does downloading of TVshow consider copyright infringement ? Thought was was on TV is free ?

Care to comment. This sound serious and am very sad now. Izzinet broadband speed for me is still crap cause I am, still getting <180kbps on an average connection and frequent disconnection.

Any advice. I need a 2nd opinion before I do something.

Thanx

For full letter pls refer attachment.

there are a lot of fake tracker/torrents from those enforcement body (like RIAA) will track the user/isp which download those "hot title" (especially from HBO) and ask them to stop or else face law suit...

good luck bro.. and i think is not BCS but is CBS/Columbia Broadcasting System (www.cbs.com)

Thanx. Actually I think they implanted a trojan into the torrent at eztv so that can track my ip. I was like seeding it for many days. guess can't be nice and help the world. sad.gif

Still I have decided to "going" to terminate my izzi. Enough of excuses and chance for them. I think the wireless limitation and performance theoretically are worst off than copper wire.

Like what one of my friend said. "switch over to streamxy, the ppl there are lazy and inefficient hence not going to bother giving u warning letter at all." TM have too many user unlike izzi.

He's right on this and has a point. At least too I can do youtube streaming unlike izzi.

err.. how should ask for the anttena for free??
from the reseller or from izzi itself??

my signal strenght is at around 70% and the dl speed is slow...

You should call the salesman and ask for the antennae for free. They are suppose to provide some decent service coverage. If you place can't receive any or weak signal you have no obligation to continue the service. Its your right and your decision.

I have 100% signal strength in my house and yet my dl speed is only 15% which is 150Kbps. If that I also can get then I am having luck on that day. Lucky strike. Usually I get lesser but never touch 300Kbps.
