Heh, default MTU for windows is 1500. Dont just blindly believe the reseller. They are "reseller", not tech or something more technical. Check here

Download the tools, and optimize your network. In case you lost during configure your windows setting, there are alot documentation there..to guide you. Eventually, you will understand why tuning your MTU will improve our wireless data transfer.

I send a ticket to them (using their website), complete with detail description of my probs. The auto responder website, advice me, that their tech will contact me within 5 working days....but, why till now (12++) working days, I still heard nothing about it eh?

Actually my probs more or less like others. The download speed approximately 500 kbps now. Compare to 950+ kbps when I first subscribe.

Izzi should build up more antenna. 1 antenna (according to iBurst whitepaper) could only support 24 x 1 Mb downstream. What happen if my place (Kelana Jaya) suddenly has 150 users, which 100 of them connected (and use full bandwith possible, downloading, torrenting..what else)....defenitely, by best effort, I can only get half of the promise speed.

Latency nowadays seem getting worse, compare to 3 weeks ago. Now,by using ping -t google.com, i get quite a number and consistant time out. Which rarely happen last 3 weeks.

Haizz...more ppl subscribe, the worst our connection will be...help.

But if izzi keep playing chicken and egg...later, disgruntle customer will spread bad word about izzi.

Having 70% of the promise speed still bearable (50% already not happy woooo), but if the situation getting worst, 30% of the promise speed..walau...any customer will feel cheated and cancel their izzi subscription.

Cancel subscription, izzi lost money...how to expand?

I dearly hope, Izzi management will find quick solution about this performance problems. Please dont be another tmnut screamyx (even with lot of DC, 1 Mbps, ftp download still exceed 100 kBps.) (Izzi, rarely DC but the speed seem capped at 40-50% of 1 Mbps).

Luckily i get feedback from izzi staff is refering to edwinlim post here...not physical phone contact what so ever. They never contact me or email me even, I give them every single piece of information to do so.

50% of the speed...hmm..complain so they will know more and more customer start to feel not content. Hopefully, this will make they install new antenna to support more user. I a bit affraid izzi will become another tmnut screamyx....overloaded customer with limited pipeline.

I still able to bear with "capped" bandwith...as long as the line perferctly stable, no dc, low latency....no timeout. But thing getting worst now..

Last night...is my izzi nightmare. It keep DC within 3 to 4 minutes. The line was not droped.. just time out for 5 to 6 seconds...(ping to google and izzi.com.my...same)(enough to kill my online game). I fedup and try to find solution in the net.

Funny thing is... one of the solution, blame on my Windows XP "pirate edition" socket 5 (outdated). In the confuse state...I think maybe kot. Then under confuse and angry influence, I made stupid move. Update my windows xp...dumb me..of course can't + got the WGA nagged screen.

So, with basic knowledge about new TCP-IP in vista, i decide to reformat my PC, install Vista +izzi driver for vista etc....VIOLA...no more time out...Woot.

Too good to be true. However, I am not sure either it is vista better socket5, better TCP IP or simply Izzi fix that problem.

They want too much customer until even their server can't handle it. No need to mention about their gateway or internet back bone.

Below is the screenshot. I do not alter anything, just plain print screen. You can see, that i am struggling to install windows live messenger. Can't play online gaming due to extreme lag latency.

3000+ ms latency...to their own server. That ping is ping -t izzi.com.my

Stop telling me base on best effort basis. 50% (most of the time) of the advertise speed already consider cheat customer. Super lag latency some more...it start happen last 2 days.

I really want to know their explaintion. Hay...come on la...you ask us to pay RM 1300 for this kind of service? CRAP..UBER CRAP.

Are they willing to refund, even the connection is OK? Or they have specific condition that must be met before they refund us.

For example, 100% refund policy...several condition must be met.

Blind spot area or almost blind spot area + within 3 days + downoad not more than 3 MB. (<-- if i am not mistaken)
