currently I'm a small house.
the master bedroom already installed an aircond, but an old one.
sucks bill like hell (daily use for 5hrs costs me RM200).
Mivea brand, require abour 15mins to feel the chill after turning on.

thus, planning on replacing it.
asking recommendation for brand/model which is most economical.
however, I have limited budget, best if can get less than <RM1000, but can stretch only till RM1200

I think firstly we should determine whether you need a 1 or 1.5hp aircon..by your room sizing

yes....determine your room size first (to see how many hp aircond you need)

then see you need to install new copper piping (usually newer aircond uses new piping)

for long hour usage, just go for inverter (even though its slightly pricier than non inverter)

10ftx10ft bedroom.
1hp should be enough right?

planning to keep it on long (~10hrs/day)
- inverter type is more economical right?

I had surveyed some.
interested in Sharp brand (due to price range <RM1500, +inverter).

I found 2 models (forgot to note down the model name/no., sorry),:
both rated 5-stars,
but 1 is rated for about 800kwt/H per year,
another one is rated ~1600kwt/H per year (I hope I get the unit right),
which one is more economical?
(aiming on reducing electricity bill from RM200 to around RM100, while using the aircond daily)
