Hi guys, im in the midst of renewing my car insurance and road tax and obviously somehow rather online instagram ads are suddenly filled with sites to renew insurance etc lol.

But i came across this one in particular called bjak.my i did my research and its an online platform where this company connects to all insurance companies for the lowest price and etc. and im quite blown by the quotation I received through email which i can choose which if i decide to proceed. Yhe price difference is astonishing cause im suppose to pay roughly rm1.1k for renewal roadtax included for my AXIA SE. but this company quoted everything below rm700 . Photos attached for reference. Anyone used this before? Is it trustworthy?

And no im not promoting their brand nor marketing i just want to know.

You can include road tax renewal here w/o go to another platform to renew yourself.

i renewed my bike roadtax and insurance last time. trustworthy and cheap also. the price quote together with roadtax and they will send to ur doorstep. some pro tips, if u register, please use the address that u want them to send coz they will refer to that address which u register on the first place

Bjak seems legit, I just checked the website out, the prices are good because of 10% off, more important can compare prices easily. They also offer road tax delivery, feels like a complete package. Gonna renew from Bjak when I'm expiring next month!

Please check the sum assured quoted by Bijak. The amount is lower thats why premium appears to be cheaper as compare to renewing directly at insurers’ own websites.

I received my road tax already. However, i didn't receive any hard copy of my insurance but that can be print out from the email they send to me on the same days.
Overall, i think this is genuine and my experience with them is great (at least i don't need to compare myself and it really benefit working people like me).

I also came a cross this platform and saw a significant difference in prices but whn i compared the overall coverage i saw that the total insured amount of the car the app was giving was less thn my cirrent insurance company as in Bjak instured my car for 16k and charged the insurance ar 530 but my normal insurance company charged me 730 with a 19k overall insured amount, bjak app allows u to change the overall insured amount so when i bumped it up to 19k the price more or less became abt an rm80 difference. I hope this was helpful

Use bjak to compare price quite user friendly (can change amount, what you want to cover etc..and fast.)

Come to delivery... they use back myeg, so in some small way is LPPL.

The 'delivery partner' many pattern now 10 days from payment still havent received. Maybe I bad luck la...

i advise u to direct renew through the insurance company, usually get discount also if didnt go through agent

Done my motorcycle renewal just now.

All it takes for me is only around 3 minutes to receive the cover note after payment made.

All were done by AI I think, which is why it was smooth.

yup. paid RM2 at JPJ UTC Pudu and done.

I transacted via house of insurance (HOI) all these years, so far so good though.. will try this as well next year.

TLDR:
I get quote from Bjak and decided to use Takaful. But of curiosity I try to get quote from Takuful website and found out there's different in sum assured and fees.

I whatapps Bjak and they change the quote.

After amendment, with just a small different around RM10+- I decided to get from Bjak (because I need to renew road tax too).

So whether this is Bjak tricks for more profits or just error in quotation, I not sure. For anyone who want to try Bjak, suggest you to take extra effort to get comparison from other source.

Making payment now. If I no reply anymore means delivery / service etc no problem.

Bjak claims on their website that one can get the road tax delivered the next day. However, I didn't get it the next day but the following day. They use NiniaVan, which is not as fast as expected.

I can only suggest Bjak if you are willing to wait 2 days for your road tax.

Hi, I recently had the same doubts myself, but I ended up doing it, and as of now I already got my insurance cover note (Takaful Comprehensive) and also my roadtax.

Previously I renewed through MyeG BMS(?), insurance (Kurnia) and road tax costs me around RM1200 for my 2003 Toyota Avanza.

With bjak.my, I got both for RM6008 if I'm not mistaken. But I think windscreen is excluded despite Takaful mentioning that Comprehensive insurance covered windscreen, as I didn't tick to include windscreen (additional RM600). It took 1 day for me to get my insurance cover note and 3 working days to get my road tax delivered to my doorstep.

I suspect Bjak.my sells my phone number to someone.
Dammit this insurance person got my phone number, car number and even my full name! Hopefully not my ic number.

This is bloody PDPA violation .

This rojak.my is an insurance agency ! They earn 10% commission and some service charge for renewing the road tax on your behalf ! RM 300 free towing is a joke nowadays! Most insurers offer unlimited towing Liao! Just spent some time to email insurance company to quote , easy! Road tax just renew at post office and pay rm2 fee! Apa Susah?

Don't be fooled by bijak cheap price.

For my case, they reduce my sum insured and excluded all add ons. That's why harga murah.

Better buy insurance direct from insurer website, get 10pc discount and u can select add ons u wan.

The reason bjak is cheap because they're an aggregator which they act like a third party app and provide direct rate.. the cons of it is you got little to zero service whenever you got questions or claims inquiry

Lousy aggregator. Price is cheaper if you go to the insurance company yourself and apply directly

The company internal quite bad imo. I had interview with them. The project manager straight up told me that for the next dunno how many months I have to work on everyday. They work late too until like 11am or some shit. Last I heard the HR, Project Manager quite. Also heard that they did not pay the recruitment company they employed. Too much shit happen to this company.

Work shit was that they interview me for 5 interview through my recruiter. Then did not get back to me after that. 2 months later the boss or someone contacted me directly through LinkedIn. Worse comp ever lol.

I use their compare function for my Persona to find the cheapest provider, then I go and renew online after I found the cheapest company to save on that 10% comm

Ofc, if you used their compare and quote function, a telemarketer may call you to ask why you no renew with them. My reason was that I was wanna see quotes but got preferred insurer rd kek

Anyone check the cover note/policy provided by bjak to you got 'Excess'?

During the selection of insurance company, you only see the benefit and price. After fill up details, then it will proceed to payment.

and u will get your cover note/policy by email.

that's when u can see what they actually do to you policy.. pls check.

because i made claim from my insurance, the panel workshop ask me to pay certain amount as my policy has excess (with certain amount, eg rm200. some insurance by other company do not have, which mean u will only see RM 0 at the excess). Thats the tricky part.

I msg bjak, ask them how i know whether the car insurance i selected do not have excess? they only can answer me 'you might pick takaful malaysia as they dont provide excess'.
It's like you sign an agreement to buy a phone with reasonable price, the next day u got the phone and you realized it's without charger. will you satisfy?

I will not use BJAK again. because they're not honest to what they providing. Yea i know some of you will say, that's what you got for paying cheap car insurance. No, we're all consumers, we have the right to know what we have to know.

The takaful website is the cheapest.

With the RM10 saving one can always renew roadtax on myeg with the standard delivery fee (i.e. not super urgent delivery with higher fee). Also roadtax come to doorstep.

i just renew my insurance and roadtax for my car last week
first i ask bjak for quotation.
then i walk in to post office to make another comparison
in post office i manage to save RM100 with almost same coverage but different insurance company.
btw, most of the policies are quite the same now.

I'm thinking of getting but I scared if need to claim got any problem...

we claim to the insurance company
so it depends on the insurance company
and usually claims made by the workshop, panel workshop.

Nowdays can straight buy from the insurer itself, so imagine how bjak gonna make money when insurer always priced at lowest cost.
