And another thing.. i just found, if your tv has game mode... use it !! The textures are so much less washed out.

GT5P was very visible.

If you look on the web, articles would say that 720p is actually better than 1080i. Mainly due to progressive scanning versus interlacing.

I won't go into the technical details but off the top of my head, progressive scanning always shows a complete picture at any given moment versus interlacing, which only show every other lne at any moment (e.g. either odd lines, or even lines, hence the term interlacing).

In layman's term, when you pause a video on progressive scanning, a moving object will look complete, like a normal still picture. And on interlacing, a moving object image will look blur.

Enough and back to the original topic. At the moment, if you want full HD, you have to at least get a 42" LCD. The consumer market only has 720p max for 32 inchers. Sony on the other hand claims that their 32" can "accept" 1080p input, but picture quality wise I think it will still be scaled down to fit the screen.

damn... right now can buy LCD tv at that price...plus it special color also. last year I buy my Sammy 32" R7 at RM2999...

who from jb here? www... ya jb house was kind of expensive... my house at desa cemerlang (around 20km away from jb city), bought at around 200k (8 yrs ago lah).. now can sell around 300-350k.. according to the market price. it's a 4 room house, now occupied by my grandparent. I intend to buy the condo near the jusco tebrau but I ended up in sg (rented and guess what sgd600 a mth for common room) due to work and gf also sgrean, she don't like to stay in m'sia. sianzz..

so far, best setting is 1080i using the component AV cable
