So when you play games, you have tilt your head upward a bit to look at the monitor?

Doesn't it hurt on the neck?

Looking at the angle from where he's taking the pic, he doesn't seem tall to me.

If you look on the web, articles would say that 720p is actually better than 1080i. Mainly due to progressive scanning versus interlacing.

I won't go into the technical details but off the top of my head, progressive scanning always shows a complete picture at any given moment versus interlacing, which only show every other lne at any moment (e.g. either odd lines, or even lines, hence the term interlacing).

In layman's term, when you pause a video on progressive scanning, a moving object will look complete, like a normal still picture. And on interlacing, a moving object image will look blur.

Enough and back to the original topic. At the moment, if you want full HD, you have to at least get a 42" LCD. The consumer market only has 720p max for 32 inchers. Sony on the other hand claims that their 32" can "accept" 1080p input, but picture quality wise I think it will still be scaled down to fit the screen.

If that's the case then rayz85 still has a chance of getting a full HD 32" LCD. Don't forget to post a picture of your setup, ok?

It will happen when Sony can get their hands on the smaller chips at a decent price. No point producing a slimmer PS3 if the price will be hefty.

I agree.

If you're connecting to the internet using the built-in Wifi, it's better off in a vertical position, as the wireless module is located on top of the PS3 when it's standing.

Some of the things to take into account when opting for full HD:

1) Whether or not you can appreciate the extra difference. Most ppl who aren't AV enthusiast can't tell the difference between Full HD and 720p

2) Whether or not your viewing distance (or room size) is suitable for the 40 incher

3) Whether or not you'll be utilizing the Full HD by watching HD movies (e.g. blu-ray).

Maybe some ppl boasts their full HD LCD tv, but in actual fact they only watch Astro on it tongue.gif
